It depends on your licience
B licence you can tow a 750kg trailer or a combined vehicle and trailer of no greater than 3500 kgs provided the vechicle is rated to pull the trailer.
BE licience max 7000kgs total vehicle and trailer but laden trailer must be no greater than 3500kgs
2020, I misread your post, you have a land cruiser his was a one of those Mitsubishi L200, an awful yolk, 2.2L engine is smaller than the older 2.4 but had a higher towing capacity, go figure the stress on that engine
The T60 electric has only a 1 ton tow rating from a quick google search. 3.5 seemed to good compared to the hilux.
This looks decent, I've looked at a few reviews and while it hasn't the towing capacity it does match the diesels
There is a Hybrid ranger also which has the full 3.5T capacity, hybrid could be a stepping stone to full electric. Having good range not towing is probably the bigger deal to most, I know for us the majority of our towing is fairly local so taking a big hit on range for towing wouldn't hurt too much once range was good overall. Obviously this will be different depending on use case.
I think that one thing that may need to be looked at if EV pickups with big batteries are to be a runner (and I haven't seen mentioned) is will the total combined MAM of 7000kg need to be looked at I wonder. Not for the trailer part but for the towing vehicle. Even EV cars are very heavy so something like a full EV Hilux or Landcruiser with a large enough battery to give good range especially when towing you could easily be above 3.5 tonnes and start eating into trailer/load weight.
I think there is already precedent for this in being allowed drive an EV that would be above the standard B licence weight limit but I don't know if they followed this though to total MAM for towing.

No EV does its quoted range but I wouldnt discount that its range should be decent with that size of battery. It would be somewhat comparable to the bigger EV SUVs such as a Kia EV9 and the figures are less than those for range though the pickup is heavier of course.
Its obviously not towing either the range numbers. It says 430km you would probably eek 350km out if it which isn't bad really.
Literally burning the 90k to use as heat would be a better use of the money than spending it on that horrid yoke.
I'm considering an EV and will probably have a look at one of these. Reviews are a bit mixed and I'd say it's a bit plasticky. I don't need much tow capacity or long range and it might be a bit more suitable for my farm than the other SUV's in that price range.
I work from home and it would suit to charge on the excess solar while I'm logged on for work.

With maybe 1000kg in batteries in it stability would not be n issI would imagine. Off road ability would be the issue
The yokes now in his defence steer themselves in their lane, have radar to not get too close to traffic in front and brake automatically if you are not looking at the road or it thinks you are about to crash into the vehicle in front.
You'd want all the fiddling done before driving off and after that controls on the steering wheel.
You would not do much repairs with a vice grip and lump hammer so.😀
