Isn't it a 20k grant for a taxi?
https://www.boards.ie/discussion/comment/124423992#Comment_124423992
If a car was being scrapped then up to €20k (if buying a new car, it scales downward for every year or age with a maximum of replacement being under 4 years of age).

If no car is being scrapped and you are just registering an EV as a taxi then it's €10k (similar scaling).
The scheme launches twice a year and is usually oversubscribed within a few days, (this February the amount was reduced to €17.5k and it was closed in 48hrs).
Depends if scrapping or not.
Depends if they were scraping an older car or not. But let’s say they were. It was what, €45k new? So about 24k on the road.
Maybe less as there was a small window when Freenow were doing a deal with Tesla to get another €5k off of the driver put FN livery on the car for a set period.
It's a great example of the bullshyte spouted by the people who like to rage at so called SUVs, which for the most part are only marginally taller hatchbacks with a sleight of hand in styling.
The ID3 is taller, wider and most importantly for passenger comfort, it has much longer wheelbase because the front end doesn't need to accommodate an ICE engine in some formats.
The only place the 2008 has a practical benefit is boot space and that's marginal with the seats up.
Your 100% right on space. Ground clearance is about 2” higher than an ID3. Might be relevant if you regularly use farm tracks or rough local roads. Drivers of a certain age also seem to appreciate a higher seating position of sorts that you get with SUV style cars like the 2008.
It looks like 20 Kangoos hitting the auction tomorrow at Merlin all at once! Time buy three of them an turn them into a single Kangooooooo.
High mileage Model S:

Enyaq 2021 just under £15k mileage is on the higher side with 86k miles.
2024 BMW i5 just under 35k. There is a few around this price maybe a little more.

Few problems with that though.
That i5 would attract VRT I expect depending on whatever OMSP they would invent for it ? It should still work out slightly cheaper than any of them for sale in the South.
€40,575 assuming you get it for £39,750. plus VRT as OMSP is over €40k here.
thats the god awful fixed 2 seats in the rear meaning you can't fold the seats !
"rare 4 seater,"
Yeah I had never heard of a 4 seater Model S until I read the add.
NCT expired last November...
If it wasnt the 4 seater I'd be there tomorrow with 7k cash, I just don't want the non usable load space. It's one of very few dealbreakers for any tesla (or any car really) imo
You'd be too late. Again 😂
If you spot a bargain, you need to buy it that second!
A little birdie tells me the €7500 Model S was bought by one of the regulars in here 😁
Well wear man! Lot of car for the money
Potentially thousands in repairs and the ceiling for these nosecones has already been set at 10-11K for a good example needing no real work.
Sure there's a bargain there?
Your welcome, whoever you are🙂
Probably the only actual bargain that's been posted here in a good while…
ABS light and wiper could very well be cheap repairs, turning a €7k car into an €11k car once it passes the NCT
Wasn't there sunroof & suspension issues, and seized rear seats as well?
The ad's gone now, but something tells me it's unlikely to have a fresh set of rubber onboard either.
I sold one for €12k this year.
A 2016 vs this 2015 though, right?
The year makes no difference in the value for the nosecones
Yes. Still a nosecone. Also had a broken sunroof like that €7k one and high mileage too. Albeit not as high, I think it was 225k km
You don't fix the sunroof on these if you are paying for it yourself 😂
Tyres like new, no suspension issues. Just ABS light on and wipers only work on 1 speed. It's a rare 4 seater car which means the back seat doesn't fold down. Your memory is letting you down 😅
The add is still there for me:
Tesla model s, rare 4 seater, 320,000kms Good points ,Driving perfect very clean inside and out, free supercharging and spotify for life, battery was changed by Tesla around 3 years ago I have proof, tyres like new, full winter pack.
Bad points. Abs light on, sunroof needs a motor , wipers only work on 1 speed so could be the body control module. 7500 ono
€5,850 2015 BMW i3 https://www.donedeal.ie/view/42038598
The OG tiny battery but comes with the quite rare Harman Kardon speakers which are great! Nice place to be for a commuter.
