You’re welcome. Feel free to post up a bargain yourself sometime 🙂

They’re pretty cheap n cheerful even when new. Nothing to touch them for range though at that price point.
They’re not great to be honest. 50kWh battery is quite limiting. If you’re prepared to pay €17K there are better EV’s to be got. It’s also overpriced. Avoid
The user you quoted found the best EV bargain ever…
Thanks.
Would think the kona and ID3 are a bit smaller though
What would you suggest?
What you recommend in the same size EV car with low mileage?
Personally I dont its an overpriced car,
Probably something crashed 🤣
@joe1303l sorry. couldn't resist
If you insist on a crossover style car, maybe a Kia E-Niro or VW ID4. But if you were open to standard ride height cars it would open up your options. Like Tesla Model 3 etc.
Stellantis EV's tend to depreciate like a rock which is why they might appear good value.
I’d suggest an ID.3, something like this;

And just to confirm the 2008 you posted is overpriced, have a look at this one;

Just checked the stats, ID3 isnt any smaller in any dimension, its the SUV illusion of size making you think 2008 is bigger than it is. Kona is very slightly smaller
Just wondering whats the sweet spot in terms of depreciation for EVS, ie picking up a bargain
Does most depreciation happen in year one,
and when does the rate of depreciation level slow down
Can’t answer that. I’ve profited from every EV I’ve owned 😬
Buy right, sell right. Utilise UK/NI/RoI when buying and do the maths.
Generally speaking most cars loose 50% of their value every 3 years. The very first year is a bit more accelerated. So it's more like 20% year 1, 15% year 2, 15% year 3. Then after that it's generally just 50% every 3 years.
So if you want a relatively new car, you should wait until all the 3 year old company cars and PCP hand backs flood the market
A bargain is what your comfortable paying that isn't over the market rate.
That can be different for everyone tbh. Even down to the type of vehicle
We have had a 2021 e2008 for about 2 years.It has about 50,000kms on it now.
It's been great - no hassle, comfortable, pretty spacious, nice to drive.
I have found that range from 100% - 0% is over 300km in warmer weather and down to around 200km in cold weather. That is a bit theoretical as you would never let the car go down to 0% and rarely charge up to 100% (unless the max range is needed). We use it as a second car and have a charger at home so the range doesn't really matter to us. We have only charged it at public chargers a few times.
The one you are looking at seems good but I wouldn't classify it as a bargain.
Looking on Donedeal now there is a 2024 e2008 with just 15,000km on it in Derry for £15,785 which would work out at just over €18,000. That is the upgraded model with a slightly bigger battery (54kWh rather than 50kWh) and a slightly more powerful electric motor. However, that probably wouldn't work if you have a trade-in.
64kwh e-niro you should look at.
I recently got a e2008 from North. 21 reg GT variant for 10k gbp. Sit inside both niro, kona and e2008 before deciding - e2008 feels a much better cabin to be in. Range is limited and in my experience much less than 300. But being a second car with home charging , range works for us.
If you can find a deal on the recent 54kwh variant, it might be worth considering.
Once cars reach 1k/2k price range they barely depreciate and if you keep it in great shape could even appreciate a bit.
Apparently is was her husband's and he's recently deceased. He used a a taxi for 2 years.
Asking €25k.
Ive bought a 242 Scenic and a 251 EV6 this year so far. There was 12k off list price of the scenic brand new and about 10k off the ev6
They're company cars for senior employees, some are actually replacing small vans.
I reckon its a price we can get out of them and replace in 3 to 4 years time without feeling we lost our nuts. And the employees feel theyre in new cars too, the scenic had under 3000kms and the ev6 had 4000kms on it
A few more photos wouldn't go amiss.
Afraid I can't do anything about that. Very possibly it still has the door stickers with the licence number on it and she didn't want to use those photos.
Not a bad asking, but I think there's better value out there for non PSVs. Here's one with lower mileage for not much more

I imagine the widow will accept a lowball offer tho, considering the circumstances
My thoughts exactly. Looks like she wants rid without hassle. A €20k offer on the spot might well take it.
And of course the add is absolutely terrible. So she probably won't get much interest in it
Yes indeed. The best ads are the worst ads 😁
What would it have cost the taxi drive to buy that 231 new?
