Had been on a hiatus from here, but thought I'd comment on the RR appointment.
Tbh, I'm pretty disgusted by how the whole thing has been handled. Both the appointment itself and how it came about.
Some will argue that RR was never convicted, and he deserves the right to earn a living etc. and it's a legit argument, but he brings baggage with him (to put it mildly) that we just don't need. And even if he was such a superior option to the other candidates, I still wouldn't want him at my club.
Not to outsource my opinion to someone else, but if it's enough for someone of the likes of Billy Holland to resign from his position, then that's good enough for me.
For me, one of the frustrating things in all of this is the lack of public comment from Ian Flanagan. He's the CEO, the corporate face of the branch, and we barely ever hear a peep out of him. With something receiving this much of a backlash, and internal issues, we should have heard from him.
I also wish we had public comments from the likes of Billy Holland, MOD and Keane who resigned. Maybe we'll hear more once the season is over.
I haven't renewed by season ticket yet. There are a few days to go but I'm still undecided if I will. I probably will in the end. But I'm hopeful there's been enough of a backlash from the fan base, thru non-renewals or otherwise, that will see some real change from within.

Ulster are riddled with injuries but that looks a particularly callow team.
This could turn into a cricket score.
TRK made a good point in the pre game analysis that there may very well be a change on the bench with an OH coming in based on the Ulster team announcement. It would allow some balancing of Crowleys minutes IF the game goes as we would hope.
I've said it previously, Flanagan is a failed leader and needs to go one way or another. From recall he was brought in with commercial revenue in mind, but has failed in pretty much all aspects of it, his leadership in particular.

I'd be taking Beirne and Nankivell straight out of the the side with 'niggles'.
I understand why Ulster are fielding that team, but I still hate to see it for an Interpro.
I think I'd leave them in, try get the bonus point wrapped up as early as possible, with a view to taking them off early. Even if we were to win every single remaining game of the season, the next 9 weeks would look like this
I think there's enough recovery there to, for the most part, play your strongest team from here on out.
Fair point actually. With minutes spread across the whole season we might be ok.

Jager is very worrying on a personal level if it's HIA, playing-wise our scrum is much better with him in it

How bad is Jagers concussion history? He has had a few issues IIRC. Could they take the same approach Leinster took with Baird, Doris and give him extended time off?

Aside from the injuries to both sides that was a very pleasing evening from a Munster pov.
Zero is definitely a crowd pleaser, god we need more analysts to be like him.
