I would say fast charging is main hurdle. Presumably it does not have CCS charging. Maybe an adapter might work. Worst case you are limited to slow speeds on a USA type home charger, no CCS charging, no access to Tesla superchargers, meaning no really long trips. Even if you got an adapter working Tesla may bar you from European superchargers like other modified Teslas for "your safety"
I would say the reason the Tesla demo cybertruck is not driven is they did not even attempt to try register it, it was hype and they knew there would be no European cyber truck but kept it on show to prop up share price and drive people to showrooms to buy cars they do sell in Europe.
Cybertruck was in RDS NEVO show in nov 24, its an abomination of a thing. Edges and angles are very harsh alright, I'm not surprised its not on the roads (whether just very difficult or illegal i don't know but I'm just glad they aren't )
Maybe it’s my oppositional defiance disorder kicking in, but if the CT was a 6 seater as originally planned, I’d take one. It’s not a pretty car/pickup, but it’s still a bit cool looking. I don’t like the X either, but I’d like one for its practicality. Those full 7 seats and the way the doors open in tight spaces would be ideal for my setup.
There's a CCS2 to NACS adapter already available, both for AC and DC. DC fast charging would not be an issue. Unsure if supercharging would work but other non tesla chargers would work and has already been proven.
CCS2-CCS1 is easy as it's the same protocol and comms for DC just a different plug, so that isnt an issue. CCS1 to NACS already exists too. I suspect you may be forced to use superchargers as a "charge my non tesla" rather than natively as there is no EU nav for a cybertruck but that would be the only issue.
AC you are limited to 7kW single phase so you're looking at 15+ hours 0-100%.
Again, there are already cybertrucks driving around europe and using the infrastructure on EU plates. It exists and works. The hurdle is registration (which is already confirmed as difficult, but possible), not charging infrastructure.
Those results for q1 2026 were not good when you dig in to them. Expect to see discounted prices and favourable lease terms to continue across Europe. No need to hurry.
The Y is a huge hit in Europe it seems

What exactly do you mean? Musk is on the record last year saying HW3 might not be good enough for FSD, in which case he will upgrade HW3 FSD cars to HW4 for free
If he reneges on that promise, he will be sued to high hell 😂
I was actually hoping this would happen. A RHD HW4 Model S / X with FSD will be an extremely rare car on the road here, perhaps just about 10 of them in the country, if even that
The one bad thing though is the even longer wait…
Ah yes, the famous Musk record ;)
Micro factory coming along soon..
I have to say that I thought it was pretty cool in the flesh. We were in New York in February and saw a few of them. They're huge when you're beside it.
It's not often my kids have any interest in any type of vehicle but the cybertruck drew a comment every time one was spotted.
In a world of boring identical looking SUV's it stands out.
And @listermint - "Micro factory coming along soon.."
I am well used to getting mocked on this forum. That is all fine. I turned out to be right in almost every instance, eventually.
Just the recent one about FSD supervised will never be approved by the RDW for use in the Netherlands 😂
But seriously lads, give me your predictions of what will happen to FSD HW3 cars over the next 3 years. Nothing? I never hide my opinions and predictions and I encourage anyone to quote me in future on anything. How about you?
I said nothing about the Netherlands stuff.
I also wasn't mocking you, I was mocking Elon Musk and his very predictable lies about timelines.
My only prediction is Musk will be overpromise and underdeliver (as he already has many many times with FSD)
Clearly you didn't listen to the call the other night. I'm astonished since your so plugged into the mans every utterance.
When pressed about the lack of capability of fsd in older hardware. Musk started talking some bollix about micro factories being spun up that would handle the swaps of the hardware it was another ridiculous waffle from the man. For lads that are keen to thank each other all the time about opinions. You don't seem to base a lot of in reality. He's a **** spoofer and has always been, and he doesn't give two **** about being sued for not doing what he says he will do.
Micro factories 😂🧐
Are you sitting on Tesla earnings calls now as well ? Jesus you have some interest in Tesla in fairness.
I wouldn't be fretting over who is thanking whose posts, look at the one ghoul thanking yours.
Rent free
Not at all just follow alot of folks online that pull out summarys of the call.
I like to read alot and keep myself informed of stuff right across industry.
Part of my job is to have a grasp of all of this even just to talk to it.
Once again though. Rather than dealing with the facts in my post. You're choosing to attack me.
Can you ever deal with content ?Is it beyond you to speak to the content of the post ... Christ on a bike.
So are you brave enough to plainly state what you claim is a lie? Can you confirm you mean HW3 cars will never be upgraded / will never have FSD supervised, not even in a lite form?
It's easy to say someone is lying / overpromising / underdelivering without giving any specifics…
Specifics ?
They're highly publicised though!

You know what life's too short
Edited
@listermint your post brought this to mind 😂
My points exactly. If Tesla fails to deliver FSD supervised to HW3 FSD cars, they will face legal action. I have said that for years, several times on this thread alone. I have also said many times that I am genuinely surprised this hadn't happened earlier
I will personally join any relevant class action on this unless they successfully bribe me off with a massive discount on a new HW4 FSD car 😂
He's facing legal challenges though he doesn't care. So I'm not sure what your point is. You made claims that the other poster had no specific and was talking in general terms about musk being a liar.
He's a proven liar, read the article . He's made a career out of wild claims. It's more surprising that your are claiming that no specifics exist of his form in lying . 🤷♂️
You asked why I'm interested in news. I gave you a reason. Yes life's to short to be angry at people for answering your questions.
You are entirely correct. 🫡
Why are you interested in reading and discussing things related to your industry?
There is no lie there if he follows through and upgrades HW3 FSD cars to become capable of FSD supervised, is there? He has clearly promised that. If he does not do it, he is a liar and will be sued. But I suspect like in many, many times before, he will deliver but way later than he said he would. Not a liar, simply way too optimistic…
Have a listen to him responding to this question on that call. You'll make your own mind up then...
No I didn't listen to the call. I was away on my boat for a few days. A diesel boat with a diesel engine, diesel generator, petrol heater, gas hot water heater and gas cooking. Plan is to convert some / all of that to electric powered by solar PV 😁
I'd love a boat. But with Sails. Always on the look out. Few projects prior to that though
Sails are a bit 20th century though. Or I guess they were even outdated back then? 😁
I spent my youth windsurfing, was good fun
If I was a lot younger with no dependents, I would have loved to do this. Summary: dude drives his 100% solar home made boat from Finland to the Mediterranean

Sweet ! Ya I suppose I fancy the pace and quiet of sails. Haven't sailed in over a decade but never owned . Although it's a mugs game of money pit. 😄
