Creating a new discussion as I didn't see one specifically for this vacancy.
Temporary Clerical Officer in the Civil and Public Service Nationwide 2026
Closing Date: 3pm on Thursday 13th November 2025
Below are the relevant docs.
I was mid 300s in Dublin and have been called for interview - how long does it generally last?
Mine was about 20 mins.
Anyone else finding vetting is taking a lot longer than usual?
How long has it been since you submitted garda vetting form?
Last week of march.
No they dont, some TCO positions are rolling. My manager has one of those and one guy did it for 2 years.
@jecca1 Ahh okay, I submitted my garda vetting last week. Have you checked your status on the Garda vetting website?Mine says submitted for processing.
Yep, says submitted for processing since the day i returned it and no movement forward. Usually takes not much more than just over a week.
I just got an email confirming an interview for next week, I heard the TCO interviews used to be very casual/relaxed but now they are quite formal like the permanent CO interviews…can anyone confirm or deny? 😅
Wrong post! Ignore, sorry.
best of luck. Is this for Dublin? Do you mind me asking roughly what number you were?
Thank you! No, it was for Louth and I was no. 12 on the panel 😊
best of luck
Yes if you read back through this thread that seems to be the case, good luck anyway!
@jecca1 Have you heard back about Garda vetting yet? Google says processing is taking 15-20 days so hopefully you have
Yep, heard back and was offered a position to start 48 hours later. Shocked how quick that happened considering how long the vetting took.
@jecca1 Oh wonderful, congratulations! Did they give you an end date?
Yes there's an end date listed but from talking to people in there they can request to keep you.
@JJecca1 Oh very good!
Still moving incredibly slowly, I don't get it.
my garda vetting came back last week but ive not heard anymore since
I agree and nobody seems able to answer as to why.
Early 400s interviewed this week in Dublin
Got email yesterday and today with start date and contract! Were in! About to drop my pre booked days I have for wedding duties. Surely they will honour them? Check spam for emails too lads. My OOM was 4, interviewd March and Garda vetting completed around 2 weeks ago after maybe 2-3 weeks wait in case anyone doesnt want to scroll back.
Best of luck - are you happy with dept??
Yes, just make sure to tell your EO straight away. That you have a wedding and that, you need to book those days off. Congratulations.
Not really but I'd rather be in the Civil Service than not. It'll help on the CV and I'm on AGS CO Panel and an EO 2026 Panel so still possibilities to go elsewhere. But also I'm not really happy with it because I've no idea what to expect in this department and from what I've assumed or read elsewhere hasnt been great, but then nobody posts the good sides so I'll have to wait and see for myself.
Will do, theyre spread out and not all at once so it should be okay. just happens to be from when i start and then the following few weeks.
Anybody know if interviews are happening in Mayo yet?
I got my 8 week assignment today in Dublin
Congratulations! Do you have a start date. Really enjoying my placement so far the staff and atmosphere are lovely.
