Prima Facie sold out in about four minutes. I know it was the Gaiety but I was surprised with no queue or waiting room.
Illegal roadside advertising boards have appeared on the outskirts of Galway over the last couple of weeks, which made me think they're maybe getting panicky.

I'm going to it alright, and looking forward to it. Hopefully it does great overall, so that it can grow. It's a shame the airport gigs didn't happen again, so hopefully this one can take off instead.
Have heard some rumours of discounted tickets coming on sale, which doesn't scream sell-out. It could be a case of a lot of local people picking up tickets last minute depending on the buzz/weather.

Good to see it come back. Definitely stretching what folk is but think it's a good thing to have such a variety of acts. September is shaping to be a busy month with Sigur Ros, Stars, Kurt Vile, Death Cab etc
all those bands playing end of the road/green man that aren’t suitable for EP anymore

Great to see another show announced outside the capital for a change. Big Thief in Limerick is a lovely surprise and crowd will appreciate this one.
Atmosphere should suit it far better in Limerick than trying to force something intimate into the oversized routine of the 3Arena. A once-off in Dolans feels like an actual special occasion.
Nice as well to spare a few people on here who have to make the usual expensive pilgrimage north for gigs.
Limerick crowds, in my experience, tend to bring the right kind of energy too.

I definitely prefer indoor shows but great to have the option for a decent festival too. Maybe a small day one might take over from In The Meadows and Forbidden Fruit back in its indie days.

Depends on the act. Big Thief for me is perfect at a festival because I can leave and see someone else.

Made me search my inbox and realised I bought tickets for NCH gig and had completely forgotten about them!
No bother! Think venues have gotten better about sending email reminders about gigs but not sure if NCH do.
Yard act due here in November, no details yet but expected after there uk dates which are being drip fed at the moment
Loved the first album, saw them in Vicar Street, wasn't feeling the 2nd album and sort of forgot about them but they were awesome on the main stage at Green Man last year. Saturday evening, sun coming down, they were magic, had the whole arena bouncing. Honestly one of my favourite festival sets ever. I'll defo be getting myself a ticket for that.
It's on my doorstep, and I dont think I'd go if I was given a ticket.
Monday is the only night that interests me slightly.
I know that I'm going to be annoyed on the Sunday, when I stand outside my house, and I'm forced to listen to the Coronas
I like the idea of the festival, I just think the line-up is bad
