Any word on reopening date for the Libertine at Leonards Corner?
Bar 1661 is only 200 metres from from Underdog. 140m from The Black Sheep.
The Complex was an arts centre and the issue there was the landlord wanting to sell.
But yes, DCC are a shambles.
I see White Hag beers are now going to be available on Aer Lingus flights! That's great! It always puzzled me why "Irish" airlines only ever served generic macro eurolagers on their flights. Good to see this for an independent Irish craft brewery.
They sold Tom Crean until they went pop, so they did try, but not very hard at replacing them!
Would be nice if they put some in the lounge too.
Shannon airport have Western Herd in the duty free and I think the main bar. They also have a local food products section.
Think it might be the only one in Ireland with local craft beer but not sure on that.
That was a generic eurolager. I heard at the time that it was brewed by C&C in Clonmel.

Though I hear Kingaraven Brewery do great hallucinogenic beer.
Dublin used to have Hope on draught in Marquette bar, been a while since I've been there though and I feel like it's gone.
Belfast City bar has Yardsman on tap and Derry has bottles of Northbound, both brewed about 1 mile from their respective airports.
I definitely got Hope in T1 last October when I was going to Biarritz with Ryanair. There's a white hag branded bar closer to the gates as well. I'll be back there in a couple of weeks so will keep an eye out.
Hop On is definitely still in Marqette, T1. It's out of stock a bit too often for my liking but the line is permanent.
Never even knew Derry had an airport never mind good beer in it.
White Hag gone from Irish Ferries French route though, despite Irish Ferries still having the bar covered in White Hag mats. Guinness, Heineken, Orchard Thieves and Moretti the only options as of a couple of weeks ago.
Not sure what to make of the rascals Mexican lager. Had it on draft in the restaurant nice enough with a Pizza. Bought a mixed case from western Herd which I’m looking forward to and a few IPAs from Whiplash as sale is on. Stocking up for World Cup is my lame excuse 😁
The White Hag bar is down the Ryanair pier; beer is fine, the service is fierce slow, though, but obviously the staff aren't trained bar staff. Still had Hope in the Marquette a few weeks ago, too.
They do white hag beers in the gate pub up.by where the middle eastern flights go from
White Hag bar in Dublin Airport was very poor when I was there last April. I wrote The White Hag an email outlining my experience and they never bothered to reply.
They don't actually run it, SSP do. Knowing how SSP run, WH may have forwarded the email to them never to be seen again.
SSP are the better of the two biggest "we run things in airports" crowds at that, HMSHost are worse!
It’s not a great offering, and they never really have anything interesting, even in cans, when I was passing through. Got some anaverage ipa last time. I had a friend who got some Black Boar in cans there once, so I’m always living in hope, and end up disappointed.
They definitely used to have cans of Black Boar, but sometimes you have to ask for it as they don't keep it in most visible fridges.
I hope that’s not the case! The past three flights I’ve had a good look in the fridges and haven’t seen it. Never asked about it though.
Was just going on Lough Gill website to buy some beers but I see they've stopped selling most stuff via the website, the extra admin obviously wasn't worth their while
Ah that’s honestly a pain. I usually buy a few cases of beers during the year. I haven’t in a while as I’ve cut back on my consumption and have been going through my stash. I had a few firm favourites in the lough gill range. It’s a shame you can’t order a mixed case from them directly anymore.
Actually, the mixed 12 might still be there I think
I don’t see it on their web shop. The whole shop is a bit confusing now I think. I’ve dropped them a message to try and encourage them to at least ship mixed cases of 12 or 24. Pointing punters towards third party offies is a bit of a disaster I think. If I’m going to order a mixed case from an off licence I’m likely going to buy a small few from lough gill and also their competitors I think at least selling through their web shop they have a captive audience. I think it’s a mistake really. Anyway I’ve let them know so hopefully they’ll take my view on board.
I'm almost 100% certain that the barrel aged stouts were available earlier and I thought a multi pack was also - I can't see anything now though so maybe they only just updated the website.
Let us know if you hear anything back from them
Looks like it’s temporary. I just got this reply from them…
This is only a temporary measure until we open the next phase of our development. Hopefully in about 7 weeks time we will have a full shop and taproom open which will include online sales.
I've picked up some expensive beers in my time, but never €39 for a 330ml bottle…

Who is buying this?!
I suppose it's like buying a 90e bottle of wine which there is a market for.
Would be interesting to know if there is an actual reason for this beer being so expensive or just Omnipollo being "edgy".
That’s insane. Hard to see how it can be justified. Is this just one of the bottles that’ll sit on their shelf indefinitely?
