No, the "guesswork" is purely because no one has done this before specifically for a cybertruck.
If you or I or anyone followed the process I outlined (Used import >6 months and >6k km, change rear indicators to amber, fit foglight) there is no legal or other obstruction to have the car in ireland legally, with a valid NCT, and if insurance companies won't quote you have a path to follow via the declined cases beareu to ensure you can get legally insured too.
It's literally no different to importing any other car that has no EU type approval. I've imported a chevy suburban, a ford F250 and a GMC sierra before. I had the license plates & V5 (and the insurance) in place before I had a NCT/DOE.

It's not the same here as the UK. We don't have their IVA process for used cars, that's the difference between here and (to be honest) most other countries. This is why it's easier in Ireland than elsewhere.
It is still hypothetical. If it gets cheaper to buy in the US it will be more and more tempting. I spent 70k on a model X a few years ago, if I was spending that much now I'd be already buying a cybertruck. As it comes down stateside, the price here comes down exponentially as essentially everything is a multiple of the US price. 55k USD translates to about 80k on the road here. I'd like to see what that figure looks like at say 40k USD.
They will come down. I was looking at bringing in an F150 lightning as they are hitting the floor pricewise but tbh a cybertruck would be infinitely cooler.
Oh and Tesla can't do it themselves because the OEM cant sell a new one (or register a NEW one) in the EU without the CoC which they of course won't get.

If your hoping to eventually see the CT sold here, keep an eye on the Australian market. Tesla’s Country Director for Aust and NZ has been actively pushing to make a business case for a RHD version to be manufactured over the last couple of years, given Australians love for a "ute".
Besides the business case, there are also the regulatory hurdles. The significance of this is that the Australian Design Rules (ADR) are heavily based on and increasingly harmonised with the UN Regs, in other words the ECE standards. So if they could make it work in Aus, then Tesla would be a fair way towards sorting a lot of the EU design challenges.

There other seems to be that Tesla is just being Tesla and not doing things as a legacy automaker does. The announcement of the production of the lower cost CT suggests demand is there for the cheaper version, even if the foundational version demand has collapsed.
And we could still see the CT platform being used for other variants like the 7 seater minivan.

Guessing many folks are triggered more by the man than the vehicle, but the CT is an incredible vehicle to have made it to production.
You know it's quite silly when adults use the world triggered at all it implies you have no serious argument.
The cybertruck was a nonsense vehicle designed to test bed some tech but it wasn't a serious vehicle meant to enhance or advance then company. Just like the giga factories for batteries we now hear nothing of these expeditions anymore even from the man himself.
