I got my 261 Born VZ 2nd weekend in January, and was instructed by dealer to send log book copy, to a link the dealer gave me, i did that around last week in January and the €500 perx card arrived by post on February 24th.
yea I got mine in the first week of Jan and once I got the log book I sent it to the link given. Since then I’ve been emailing them asking for updates but each time I get a different reason for the delay.

The current Cupra sales booster is 2k, right? Any info about when it will expire? March 31st or it hasn't been dislosed?
Did they ever "fix" the wiper orientation as a matter of interest? Wasn't it the case (in the early days, at least) that they had the wipers set in left-hand drive configuration so that an Irish driver on right hand drive model would be effectively looking out through what would be the passenger wiper, i.e. when they were swapping the driver seat for Ireland, they weren't swapping the wiper configuration around.
Maybe that was just ID3 and/or maybe they fixed it in face-lifts but was curious on what the current state of play is there?
I don't think there was any difference as the wipers are in the clap hands orientation, there always an annoying line of water left behind from the end of the passenger wiper alright.
Afaik, that annoying water line would be only in the passenger's eye line on left hand drive cars. Anyway, sounds like it's still the same as it was. Wonder will it be any different in the upcoming facelift?

Posted this in the Id3 thread but is relevant here. Was quoted 48k delivered for the facelifted vz. That's what it was on his internal system which he showed me.
Probably the worst time of year to order a new car, you'd be better off waiting until the 262 offers start popping up.
The VZ was as low as 38k at one point either late last year or earlier this year.
Outside of the real budget stuff, the best value cars out there are the Tesla model 3, ID3 GTX and Born VZ
Because they are exempt from the SUV tax. Make any of them SUVs and price skyrockets
Dont mind the 48k from cupra, they have a history of overpricing on launch and then dropping massively.
231bhp born eboost was over 60k at one stage, as was VZ if I remember right

Its not a real tax, it just refers to manufacturers turning normal cars into slightly raised up versions, calling them SUVs or crossovers and charging an awful lot more for them
I think the T-Roc was about €5k more than the Golf when it came out and it even had a mix of Polo/Golf interior so it wasn't even the same quality and I don't blame them, everyone is blindly spending extra for crossovers...
It's disappointing to hear the facelift is more expensive, even if they do end up offering nice contributions like last time I don't see it coming down to ~€40k which is a shame as they were savage value for money and to be honest there's nothing really worth paying extra for?
I have a gtx pp. Just wanted to see what they would give me for my car. The current brochure price was 41k Delivered. He even tried bull shiting me saying the prices weren't that different. Ha.

It's why both cars in the household are 1. Tesla Model 3 rwd and 2 . VW id3 gtx ( the purple one). The primary deciding factor was value. Browsing on here was very informative. The performance of the id3 is quite something. At the time of purchase the Cupra finance offers weren't nearly as attractive.
They were doing 3500 off and 0% finance at one point. Moved a lot of stock that way I'd guess.
I have a 2025 born eboost. I got the extra eur 3500 at the time which made the cost to change reasonable. Very happy with the car - the extra comfort and nice zip when you need it. Not sure about the facelift - equivalent car is now 58kWh LFP - heavier car with less power. Nicer cosmetics with a better infotainment system- although the existing one is now fine. No compelling reason to change from what I can see. Pricing on the facelift and on the options will tell a tale.
I had a 2024 and upgraded to a 2026 eboost.
I was interested in the VZ but it was too much when I made enquiries in November of last year.
I am interested in the facelift long range VZ, but will wait until the second half of the year to see if there are any deals. When I was younger, I would have gone for the bucket seats, but at my age, the massage seats are probably more of a priority!
2026 Cupra Born prices are out. With the current options on my eboost 251 born the new Born would cost me 45k after the grant. I would have thought with the cheaper lfp battery fitted they could have kept the prices reasonable. So 45k to replace my car with a new heavier and slower car. I don't think so..😣

I presume that they are trying to capture decent margin with the story that we have now seriously upgraded the car. In part this is true - better infotainment system, 1 pedal driving , better cosmetics, better economy, V2L and importantly (to me anyway) 5 Yr warranty. However their options are both overpriced and badly packaged IMO. In my case currently I have apart from the eboost- electric seats/massage with better seat materials etc, 360 camera with travel assist, copper wheels, metallic paint and panoramic roof. To get any of these options you have to upgrade to V2 (which gives you heated seats- wow) and matrix headlights which I don't want or need. Most of the other options are part of packages that are more expensive to start with and give you things that you don't need- e.g in my case HUD, V2L etc. etc. Coming from a manufacturing background I can understand the tradeoff between mass customisation and maintaining efficient manufacturing lines. Hopefully as Buddy Bubs says Cupra will have a rethink on their pricing.
5 year warranty is on almost all 252 cars so it's nothing exclusive to the new model. I haven't been following the new models much but it doesn't sound like there's really anything worthwhile to go for? It's worth remembering the €34k eBoost and €38k VZ had €3,500 discount on them but even at that the new model is noticeably more expensive.
I really hope they do drop prices, the 251/252 models were great value for money and it would be nice to see them want to get that marketshare as both legacy manufacturers and Chinese manufacturers are continuing to improve their EV options.
I'm seeing so many Borns on the road locally although only saw my first VZ in the wild this week, I've seen a handful of ID.3 GTX around recently so people obviously liked the value VW had with them before the VZ price eventually for dropped. We also have to remember Cupra Ireland had the VZ at ~€62k at launch, whoever in charge of that was an absolute gobshite.
I hope they to back to undercutting VW, when I got my original Born it was cheaper and better spec than the ID.3.
Funnily enough I saw my first VZ in the wild only yesterday
i reckon big price drops coming, i got a new VZ in January for €37,500 straight sale, no finance, no tradein, including Forest Green paint and Sennheiser sound system, which was about €1400 of extras included. But that had a 3,500 additional discount, which is now down to 2k. The new VZ is circa 8 k more, not realistic at all.
as for warranty, the increase from 3 to 5 years only applies from 2026 on Cupra, VW is still only 3 years, as is Skoda, allthough you can add 2 years warranty(to 5 years) to Skoda (Elroq for example)for an extra €762
