I said top 18 list which means the polestar volumes are clearly tiny which makes a 240 percent increase neither here nor there as the base is so small!
It’s partly price related, other than BMW, the rest on the list are relatively cheap cars. No sign of Mercedes either.
Seems to be mainly lack of units to ship here as opposed to lack of takers, they are up in general in Europe this year. The US market on the other hand is way down after the end of their tax breaks last year.
Specifically in Ireland they also don't at the moment have enough service centres to serve the current fleet. We are really crying for another service centre in The Greater Dublin region.
Not unexpected in fairness. Similar sales growth to Tesla a few years back.
Low sales for 2025 for polestar will make their jump look good alright. They sold 2 cars in March 2025, yes 2 whole cars. Imagine being a sales person in that showroom. What on earth would you be doing with yourself.
Either way, it’s great to see. More sold now means more second had in the future.
In fairness that makes no sense because there are various articles about Tesla saying they have 'over production'.
They shed near 20 percent of the workforce in Giga Berlin in January.
We shall hear the full numbers later this month.
This article paints a pretty positive picture for the sales on many European markets:

Is that suggesting that some/much of the handwringing, muttering, and gaslighting about Musk was actually coming from citizens that were not or never contemplating a Tesla purchase?
Not as simple as identifying any particular reason. Bounce in Sales is positive for the brand which had taken a bashing (some I am sure related to anti Elon sentiment). Main reason in my mind is the introduction of competition in the EV sector with large range of affordable EV's at competitive pricing so for a dominant player like Tesla holding market share with only 2 models was always going to be a challenge. The 2 cars are doing well and still find appeal within their segment
Try explaining that to listermint 😁
Unclear what any of that means. But despite their capability to optimise production. Keeping their cost really low and provide additional value specifically with key models like the Y. Inventory is growing, in an explosion of EV sales globally and with the fuel crisis ticking over for a month. Their inventory is stacking up.

Why ? Having 2 models isn't a good enough explanation. Their pricing and their models are key vehicle types in the sector.
As I've personally said, the lack of concentration on the core product itself and the main man have tainted the company. He's not CEOing it. He's doing all other forms of pet projects. That itself doesn't lead confidence to it's longevity.
It would be better if he just handed the reigns entirely to someone else and went off and built his AI or whatever constellation bases space stuff he wants to do.
I think Tesla getting back to vehicles would help and shore up it's future.
Tesla is opening a new service centre in North Dublin soon. They got planning a couple of days ago, did not look at it but presuming for signage etc. The building itself is existing. I think it was mentioned here. It may take time to put in lifts and hire and train staff etc.
"I bought this before Elon went crazy".
Did not ya lyin' bastad, everyone knew he was nuts by 2024.
yes I mentioned it a few months back. it’s in the industrial estate in Finglas where Denis Mahony currently are.
I believe Mercedes are also coming to the same area.
You still think the cars are Tesla's core product? 😁
I do ya. If it wasn't then the share price would be 700 per share.
It's not, because the rest is just fluff (still) and remains so.
But sure maybe you can enlighten me why it hasn't reached that pricing since it's got all these other products on the go making money. ?
Those stickers are pathetic
Cowardly even
Agreed.
Can we move this thread out of the EV forum then ;)

Tesla has had the best March sales ever in Germany and jumped 315% YoY. The first 3 months are also up by 160%, apparently. So not just 160% but up by 160%.
Reminder, the RDW decision for FSD is due tomorrow.
Right on time, they're now talking about a smaller cheaper SUV .

Whilst NHTSA pushes back on Tesla's proposed launch of pedaless and steering wheel less cybertruck launch latter in April.
Cybercab, right. And a smaller hatchback would be a great match for European and Far Eastern markets.
Would be a bit of a U-turn, but personally I'd like to see a smaller cheaper Tesla. I guess we will have to see if / when Tesla announces they are doing this. Until then nothing more than a rumour really
And at this stage we have all learnt that even when Tesla announces a new model, it might never happen or be delayed by many years
Not much more than an hour left until COB in NL and nothing from the RDW. Ah well. Can't say I am too surprised.
In other news, Teslas have just clocked up 10 billion miles with supervised FSD. Only a few months ago it was 7 billion miles. It is learning. Fast. The very latest 14.3 software, that came out this week, seems not quite perfect yet, but its reaction times are now truly superhuman quick
Of late I have abandoned the idea of getting a sledge to or keying any 251 + reg tesla I see as I think that would be illegal but I have activated their sentry recording system and then gave my views on the ethics of buying a tesla and of supporting Musk which I think is immoral. Strange thing is most new Tesla owners see no problem with their purchase choice and are not in the least bit embarrassed or self conscious. It's great to see so many new BYD's and VW ID's etc about. Share price is down 21% so far this year too.
Remember that they have a couple of other guys apart from Musk working at Tesla too. Including Europeans.
You're feeding the troll.
You might need to seek professional help there
Very pleased you’ve decided against hammering or keying Teslas. That could end very badly if you were to be so stupid. The next step is to stop being a moron by sharing your views via Sentry feed.
Also, leave your moral preaching in your head. It’s not very well thought out if you’re praising BYD. Brazil just added them to a black list for slave labour and using supply chains directly connected to Uyghur camps. Oh and VW being founded by the Nazi party and in more recent times, choking people in a different way ala diesel gate. Not only am I not embarrassed for driving Teslas. I quite enjoy it and happily share my positive experiences. My vehicle choice isn’t defined by your insecurities.
