Suppose we need a new one… Roll on Feb 6th!
If anyone else has been offered May intake send me a DM with your number I’ll add you to the WhatsApp group
Just curious did u hear anything from them before this to say vetting nearly completed,i had station interview in Oct,and ive heard nothing since,i thought this was near the end of vetting, and he was signing everything off his end
Anyone who was offered without vetting completed, did you ever live abroad? I'm just wondering why some people are eligible for conditional offers & some aren't.
i got a conditional offer, it says my vetting is in it’s final stages and for some reason i haven’t done a station interview 🤷♂️
Less then 6 weeks to next Intake they try to give between 5-6 weeks notice for start date. So ide say there will be more offers out today and tomorrow.
For those offered May intake what recruitment campaign did ye apply for and what was your OOM ?
Applied February 2025 and for that recruitment drive they didn't do OOM, you either passed or failed Stage one testing, and same for the interview, although they did give us scores from the interview, but I think that was just for ourselves.
They’re inviting you into the college despite your interview? Heard a few cases of this I geniunely wonder why they pick and choose who has to wait and who doesn’t
This might be just a me thing but even when I was down in templemore doing the PCT I felt like they were profiling you and trying to suss you out and I feel that does play a part in it whether people like to hear this or not.
If you look back on a previous post it said there were people in training now from 10 years ago.
Is there a certain time of day they usually contact you with an offer?
Filling in form b and it’s looking for original birth certificate. I do not have the actual original only the one i ordered from HSE. Will this suffice?
Yes should be alright. I had a similar issue.
I second this, I got the same feeling when I was down there.
As someone who has been there, done the test and got out the gates of Templemore they're definitely not profiling you at the fitness test.
When did you apply, what has your timeline been like?
Congratulations! I also applied in feb 2025, still waiting. I had the station interview 3 weeks ago, when did you had yours?
I agree, they couldn’t care less. If you expect them to do that you can convince yourself that they may be doing it though.
Any more offers for May?
Since the 3 current recuritment campaigns the 24 one and the two in 25 .
Would be interesting to see how many of the candidates who applied have now dropped out because of the length of time and the lack of communication and information available to candidates.
Next intake is may the 5th
I see there a young lad who was stationed in Dublin, 4 months after graduating from Templemore left because he could not find accommodation.
He is looking to rejoin again now as he has sourced accommodation. They said he will have to go through the whole process again.
anyone get offered a pct recently?
Hi all,
Been lurking these forums for a while now, said I’d give my own experience so far Applied in Feb 2025, replies were quick and process was fast, attended the online interview and fitness test all 3-4 months after applying, went and got laser eye surgery to satisfy Garda occupational health soon after failing my medical and got that all sorted. Submitted my Form B in July 2025 and been quiet ever since. I’ve mailed Garda HR every now and again for an update only to be told, your vetting is still outstanding.
I have had one small incident in the past for Section 4 drunk in public but it was as close to minor as possible, no fuss just too drunk to get home the night my county won an all Ireland. Struck out in court with a laugh from the charging guard and the judge. ( was advised by the guard to go to court rather than the caution given my situation )
So according to Chat GPT ( I know, desperation ) I am right where I should be involving vetting queues, that they are processing boards 21/22 now, I was board 23, is there any truth to this has anyone done their PCT in Summer last year received an offer? Almost forgot to mention I haven’t had my station interview yet and pretty sure none of my references have been called yet either.
Any advice here would be greatly appreciated. Or if there’s any WhatsApp groups in my situation you can dm me for my number!
If I’m understanding your question correctly, I have seen numerous people from Feb 2025 and 1 person from Sept 2025 all get invited extended to them.
Unfortunately there is no way to determine a rhyme or reason to how it works. It appears there are still some people from 2024 pending vetting completion and haven’t received an invite.
Im from the same time as urself still waiting, had station interview in October and he signed everything off, my references havent been called yet either,i would love to know how they do this whole process, how ppl get offers with vetting not completed and others dont
What do you mean by the processing boards, how did you know what number you where
it was your board in the publicjobs interview process I’m sure. Depending on your result in the interview and tests can affect when your called as well I think.
Order of merit it’s called, someone else might know more
I applied in Sept 2025 and here is a timeline of experience to date.
Interviewed early February - informed that I passed two weeks later.
Medical was in early March & Form B completed and sent.
PCT late March (passed on the day).
The Occ health team did query a disclosure I made on the Medical form (nothing major in my opinion) and wanted a GP report on same. Waiting to hear back if this has cleared.
I dont think they done that last year, think its only a new thing this year
