Like how long would your back hair get if you let it grow.
They probably lob a few quid at Lonely Planet and that gets tourists in the door. I can't imagine an Irish person going there, everyone knows how shite it is.

How come so many people in their sixties, seventies and eighties are being made soccer managers?
I've no problem with it (I'd do it myself if I was asked) but it just seems to be a job that somebody would need to be very fit and agile to perform.
?
Where is your city?
Why would you need to be fit and agile? I wouldn't have thought there would be much to do physically. A lot of managers are out of shape.
I genuinely wonder where do capitalists think the resources for the "machine" will come from in say 100 or 200 years time.
With finite resources, and a ceiling on a sustainable population, there cannot be eternal growth, so when will our economy shift to a new focus, and what will that shift look like, in their view?
Capitalism works even in negative growth. Just profits are better in positive times.
Would you consider Capitalism still working if dwindling inputs lead to military conflict and corporate monopolies?
There's laws against monopolies. Don't know who's going to war, certainly not corporations.
I was wondering this morning when listening to ads on the radio. Can people make a career out of that. Is it a full time job or is it a bit of a side gig.
Have you seen the news lately?
What my sister sees in her discarded foreskin of a boyfriend.
As in, the voiceovers? They're pretty much all jobbing actors who do it to make a living between gigs.
Putin is a communist, nothing to do with capitalism. God knows what Trump is up to,making a killing on the stock market by the looks of it.
Don't know who's going to war, certainly not corporations.
A - The US Industrial Complex is entirely built on the certainty of continued conflict.
B - It is reported by many with significant experience and insight that at least part of Trump's motivation vis a vis Greenland was the natural resources contained beneath it.
C - Oil reserves were partially the motivation for Trumps invasion of Venezuela and the kidnap of their President.
D - Water is already sold as a commodity since 2020. The UN said this year that the world has entered an era of Fresh Water Bankruptcy, it is entirely logical to expect this resource will be fought over in future.
Sorry ya I meant the voiceovers forgot to type that.
Do intelligent people, or more correctly, people who are good at something, not realise they are actually intelligent or good at something? I know someone who says there was an average in maths in school, yet they got an A in ordinary level maths and work in a career with a fair bit of maths in it; they are not being self-deprecating, they really believe they are average at maths.
I suppose we always compare ourselves up and not down.
I consider myself average at maths overall, very good at certain aspects including geometry and trigonometry but absolutely hopeless at the X-squared stuff.
It depends who they are comparing themselves with, I would say they were probably in Higher Level Maths and were failing so dropping down to ordinary level, yes they would be better than 'average' at Maths but certaintly not as brilliant as those getting the A or B at higher level.
This is a bit simplistic and dated, but worth a listen, if only to remind ourselves of Maggie Thatcher and Reagan.
I was always good at Maths, so that's not an issue, but I got a C in Lower Level English in the Leaving Cert, even though I know I had a better knowledge of the language that a lot of the people in the Higher Level class. I just didn't waffle as much in my homework and exam questions so got 'demoted'. (But mainly for not doing my homework.) 😉
Women who get tattoos around the rib-cage, upper-thigh area, I assume are gamey?
Yep. But also in between zero gigs. In fact the voiceovers are probably their gigs. Very hard to earn a good living in Ireland as an actor. They usually leave. Very sad.
Meh, most normal people, if they aren't happy in their current employment, look to broaden their horizons. 97.5% of artists wallow in self pity and have no drive to get up off their asses.
yes , yes we are
Bit of a bang of Woodcock off them for sure.
Return to the 50s60s western world lifestyle, modes homes, jumpers indoors in winter, fewer holidays, much less foreign travel, less car ownership, less consumerism in general, on the other hand, enough to eat, education, and medical care for everyone, security, in other words, to those under a certain age in Ireland, their idea of dire poverty.
I often wonder how they get them to say the T & Cs so fast at the end of ads.
why they put up signs on roads warning of speed cameras.
I'm almost sure they speed some of those up after recording. There's one on LBC at the moment which would be longer than the actual ad if they played it at normal speed.
