Ten years since they've played Ireland!
I got a standing this morning so they were there.
Also bought a pair this morning @8.25am - 100% they were available
Wonder is this the 'half setup' ?
Nope will be close to sell out, top tiers already open due to busy presale.
probably be able to pick up a ticket week of the gig, wouldnt be panicking
Not sure what the criteria is for it but the ‘Low Availability’ warning is there now.
its there to aid panic buying, relax folks, no need to panic
I really think their trying to flog those €99 seats before dropping in more standing possibly at the platinum prices seeing as the gig is so far away theyd get away with it..i get the new generation getting into this and the parents bringing the kids thing but was at Slipknot/Korn in 2015 and the upstairs was practically empty..just people dotted around in the seating.
Fairly sure that concert was sold out - you must be getting gigs mixed up.
Quickly looked at a video on Youtube and seating looks packed.
I doubt it - I think its just mostly sold out.
Sorry i didnt explain that very well..i brought my then 13 year old nephew and we were near the front in the standing area for Korn and they were brilliant..but then thought it might get a bit heavy for him during Slipknot plus we were both there mainly to see Korn so could see loads of empty seats in the rear blocks ( P, M, L, K , H ) and asked a steward if it would be ok to go up..they brought us up the lift and we sat around the middle while everyone had moved down to take up the front blocks but definitely tonnes of empty seats..more demand for this kind of stuff now i guess with Limp Bizkit pulling a huge crowd in the 3arena last year aswell..the 2 times i saw them in the Olympia it was pretty easy to get tickets.
.
I got my times wrong yesterday and ended up logging in at 8:12 for the McD presale. Buckets of standing available and missed the queue as no wait time. I'm surprised there was little /none today. Hope everyone gets sorted!
Slipknot and Korn were selling out the 3arena 10 years ago.
Slipknot did it easily on their own 5 years ago
Behemoth were with them.
Sold out already apparently.
Officially sold out via MCD.
Gonna be a banger of a gig can’t wait!!
who says Rock Nu Metal is dead ?
small amount of tickets will probably become available over the coming months, including resales closer to the gig, should be a good gig, havent decided if i ll go yet though, keep checking in regularly on ticketmaster over the coming months for tickets, this generally is not announced, when more tickets are released
Take a look in the Mirror (pun intended) just a few posts back you pondered if they'd be playing to a half full config!
I can only hope Linkin Park take a gamble and play a show here with the rise of Nu-Metal love.
Wishful thinking.
It’s always struck me as unusual that Linkin Park have only played two concerts in Ireland over the span of 25 years, especially considering they are one of the few nu‑metal bands consistently capable of selling out large arenas.
I saw them back in 2003, but I’d love the chance to see them again.
My comment yesterday was meant as a joke relax
I hope I'm wrong but when they supported Metallica in the RDS in 2003 they got a not great reception and a few bottles thrown at them, hope that didn't turn them off coming here after that.
Yeah, it wasn’t a great show because of that, but they did come back a few years later.
No major act is going to turn down solid revenue because of one rough night, however it was a strange pairing at the time.
That was Linkin Park in 2003 who were supporting them and got bottled.
What an odd but amazing lineup
Was a great day, I missed The Darkness but caught it from Linkin Park onwards.
They were back again the following year in 2004 with Slipknot and Lost Prophets. I can remember hanging out on one of those wooden pub picnic tables with a pint at the bar waiting for Lost Prophets to finish up as I absolutely hated them. 😂
edit - just looking through some old tickets, Korn were on the 2006 bill when they had their mini Download festival here.
Korn pulled out the day before because Jonathan Davis was quite ill.
I was there at the time and noticed a big gap at the merchandise stands — no Korn T‑shirts or anything. I remember thinking how strange that was. A little while later, the news started to filter through.
Yeah now that you mention it, I don't actually have a memory of seeing Korn at that 2006 show at all, just Metallica, Guns n'Roses and Alice in Chains.
I was over at Donington, Korn still played but without Jonathan, had a load of guest vocalists (Benji Webb, Corey Taylor, M Shadows)
There was a heavy rumour that they'd play 'One' and that Papa Het would be on vocals as other bands helped them out 2yrs previous, alas it didn't happen
