So thought I’d throw this up, in a similar style to the electricity and gas switching deals available
one big switch have a deal for eir Broadband €35 a month and €100 credit added to your account for new residential account holders, if you’ve had eir before use spouses name which I’ve done in the past
A restart of the router won't do it unfortunately, you'll need to get in contact with Pure Telecom. The transfer didn't happen yet for whatever reason.
I spoke to Pure now. It seems I paid Sky until Monday, 23rd March so transfer will happen on Monday.
I am seeing BT Ireland now.
Got €35 for 1Gb vodafone via switcher. Contract for 12 months.
The terms for Voda seem to say that the price will go up by 3.50 in April - did you take that into account or do you feel that isn't going to apply to you?
I'm going to ask once they ring me even if go up it's €38.5 plus I'll get €50 one4all gift card which is not too bad. My contract should start in April so maybe price increases won't apply.
Correct, if you sign up in March or April the CPI increase will not be part of your 12 month contract.
No price increase till 2027 so happy days 😊
Afaik it's €35pm for 6 months then €40pm thereafter on a 12 month contract.
No it's €35 for full length of term.
Interesting, it shows for me as €35pm for 6 months, €40pm for 6 months. But it stays at €40pm out of contract, not €50pm. That's SIRO for me, are you on open eir, NBI or Virgin FTTP?
Eir
Showing that price for me too, it's a great deal in fairness. I'm out of contract next Saturday it's looking like it's the plan to go for at this stage. Are there any reliability issues with them?
There's been a few posts on here of Vodafone congestion issues at certain times, I don't know how widespread that actually is. There has also been posts that they renew IP addresses every night causing a few minutes of downtime.
Sky would be the same price, €35pm for 1Gb on a 12 month contract, no €50 One4All however. Eir is €40pm with a €100 bill credit but it's a 24 month contract with a €4 price increase next April.
I was with Vodafone to about 3 years when I was on FTTC with them. They are pretty rock solid. I think I had like 2 small issues, 15 min phone call sorted it out no bother.
I signed up as well via switcher to get the 1Gb as Virgin now have full fibre to my area.
I phoned Pure this afternoon , I got an offer of €31.50 for first 6 months and €35 for the next 6 months, No increases like others. I was with Sky and it was increasing by €3.50 in April
The One Big Switch offer of €30pm for 12 months is still available -

Thanks a mill NotShero , I have requested a call back, and I hope to be able to cancel my 'big deal' and get this one. Have a good weekend.
This is a fantastic offer. With the €50 One4All it works out as about €31 a month and with no April increase as you're signing up in March.
I pay €30 for 1Gb with eir with no April increase but that's my staff discount so it's almost as good as that!
That's why I decided to sign in contact with them. For that speed and this price very hard to find something better.
Good to see signs of 1GB for €30 becoming the standard now for new contracts. It’s complete overkill though and reliable, well distributed 500mb is suitable for 99.9% of households.
I got the Pure deal for €30 for 12 months and no April increase. €50 refer a friend bonus too so got at least one of them so far from changing family member over.
Apologies if this is covered elsewhere in the thread - I cancelled Virgin last week, 30 day notice will take me to 16th April. I am going to do the swticher.ie Voda deal for approx 31/m for 1gig. Does anyone have experience of doing a switch via switcher.ie? Will I get opportunity to specify a switchover date or does it just kick in immediately?
You're going to get call from Vodafone and they'll discuss details with you.
As said above, you should get a call from Vodafone. Are you on Virgin FTTP now? Ensure Vodafone are going to use Virgin FTTP and supply your UAN, you shouldn't need to wait the 30 days for cancellation as long as you're outside your minimum term.
If you're on Virgin coax, then you'll need a new installation of one of the access networks that are available to you (open eir, SIRO, NBI, Virgin FTTP) but Vodafone should still be able to cancel Virgin Media for you under the new IAS switching process. You should be able to specify a date for the switchover if you don't want them to cancel it on your behalf.

Aye, I've VM FTTP and SIRO and not getting the offer, only what you have posted.
How to get refer a friend bonus of €50 please?
all I did was contact Pure myself and give them my own details first and then give the account number of the friend that I referred. You need to wait until your friend has paid at least one monthly bill.
Ok. Perfect. Thank you. That's another 1.5 months free internet.
Is Virgin Media based on Siro or running on coax cable? They offer 1Gb at my address and they on Siro's website, cc says: fibre is not fully deployed.
If Virgin coax is available to you, that's what they'll use. It's very unlikely they'll agree to use SIRO when they have coax available to you. They'll eventually upgrade your area to their own FTTP. You'll see 2Gb/5Gb available at your address when FTTP is available to be installed, you'll also see it listed here on ComReg's website -
