I've no idea.
Agreed. Murphy has turned Ulster around as has Lancaster at Connacht. I think the difference yesterday was Ulster had a big injury list in key positions
Trying to troll opposition fans after their team has won is new approach, hopefully it doesn't catch on.
Anyway- few interesting games for us this afternoon, think sharks and Benetton winning is probably best for us. Hopefully we push on to the end of the season but still think we've left too much to do with some silly losses earlier in the season.
The last line sounds like something a 9 year old would write.
As a general health warning for this page its important to appreciate Mcloskeys unbelievable form and performances for ireland and not listen to this attempted narrative from some that its a tragedy he wasnt ahead of Bundee for the last 6 years in which Bundee was the best 12 in the world
what did Henderson say?
No mention of Henderson and his part in the verbals I see.
Poor Robbie Henshaws career as Ireland 12 has been quickly forgotten by some.
McCloskey is absolutely brilliant and I'm sure would have done a great job if he'd gotten more opportunities earlier in his career, but that doesn't change the fact that Bundee was one of the most important players in the best Irish team of the professional era.
maybe down there. , but it’s no surprise to any Ulster supporter that once McCloskey got a chance, he raised the performance bar of the Irish 12’s.
What?! Bundee is arguably the most popular Irish player.
Early signs are that he has reacted positively to losing the 12 jersey to McCloskey, he was good against Scotland off the bench and last night was his best Connacht performance in years.
One more year of a motivated Aki will be a huge asset for us. We have 5 young homegrown centres who will hopefully benefit massively from training with him too.
Big al still a bit salty after last night lol.
Stuart is in the form of his life was Ireland's player of the tournament this 6ns and rightly deserves the Irish 12 spot and is a fine player, but when the dust is settled and the boots are hung up in one of them will be remembered as an Ireland great, a multiple test lion, a world player of the year nominee, league player of the year, and domestic competition winner on two continents. The other will be Stuart McCloskey.
Perhaps not taunting the crowd when going off the field would help Bundee be liked?
he’s a mouthpiece who has rarely played well vs Ulster(McCloskey mostly). He went up against perhaps the worst centre in the league and started giving it the big one to the crowd when coming off.
McCloskey has raised the bar in the Irish 12 jersey, from the 12 being like an extra backrower to being a creative spark and Aki has to accept it.
Was just looking at the table and with 4 wins in a row Connacht are currently the form team with 4 wins in a row. The next best are the 2 directly below us with 2 wins in a row
As common to hear Aviva as Landsdowne these days
Yep, and hopefully both stay in the Irish setup for a long time. In different ways both coaches have a similar honest approach to developing players and the players trust the coach and that equals performance. Hens teeth
Thank you. Funny thing is Lancaster gets what I have been saying for years.
Mod Edit
Warning issued.
I guess you are talking Lancaster and Farrell
He needs something, not sure a stern talking to or counselling or both. He keeps on doing this. Let it go. And he played well too.
Oh! Need a second row so.
Come off it. It’s The Sportsground
For over a 100years
These recent results will do wonders for attendance in the dexcom
He also said Connacht are getting a second row from the lions despite him being re-signed by the Lions yesterday.
Some game. Thought prendergast should have been potm but bundee was immense too. Real statement win and something to build on. I forgot what a good player Tracey is too so great to have him back and fit. We don't get many wins up in Ulster so one to be enjoyed.
Stockdale the clear instigator of the afters with Bundee so don't think there's anything to be said to Bundee there. There was one defensive set in the first half where Bundee must have smashed 3 or 4 guys, think that set the tone for the rest of the team on the night.
They can want him all they want.
Yes I heard him before. Interesting with Ferris verifying.
From Distance memory it was the same story a few years about Bundee going to ulster and munster. Something to fill the chat on radio during the week. Hopefully he stays, slow burner for me but as long as we have another kicker he and Crawley is our 10 next year
Mouthing off to or about a referee is totally different to getting into it with a player. Stockdale clearly started it and Bundee sticking up for himself is proper.
