Like how long would your back hair get if you let it grow.
There is no such automotive lighting system called "floodlights"
Are you one of those dopes who thinks that because foglights light up the road surface 5 metres ahead of you (while also blinding oncoming traffic) that (a) you can see better and (b) you're not being a total ignorant prick?
why do many people drive in clear conditions with their foglights turned on.
I drive at night with full beams and flooodlights . It's shows the road up far far better . Dip when up see traffic coming , easy .. and no big deal . What people are grumbling about are dicks who don't dip
These things are usually noisy as fcuk but the engine noise is largely projected sideways and the exhaust noise is projected rearwards.
If going quickly (which it probably was) there is little audible warning from the front and little visual warning and time to react either.
Not that she should have had to react. She was crossing the road at a crossing and the traffic had a red light.
I'm a motorcyclist, sometimes pedestrians do very stupid things but this was not one of them
Saying both as bad as one another is just cûntish
Why do so many people drive with fog lights on.
And full beams.
If the company's security team has more than one collective braincell (not necessarily a given) then it doesn't matter who knows where they work or who steals what.
I wonder why the grass is green and why the wind is never seen.
why do some people drive in heavy fog with their lights turned off.
Did you read what I said. They are not exactly silent. How on earth did she not hear it coming.
I've seen plenty of cases where people just walk out in front of cars totally oblivious to all around them.
I'll take the warning for this: fcuck right off. Both as bad as eachother??? She was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing. You're a fcuking ghoul.
there are six spotlights in the ceiling of my kitchen. Maybe a year ago the middle two stopped working or the bulbs just burned out… a few days ago one came on when I flicked the switch that turns them all on, and as of tonight both are back working….
My own guess was that water got in during a storm and caused damage but how can that damage repair itself ? It’s quite frankly, weird. Makes me wonder…
Why do the fuel prices shoot up the minute the price increases but the somehow magicially never go down as quick when the prices drop!
Talking about awareness around you. I know it's terrible she died but the case in Dublin where that girl died after being hit by a motorbike surely she could have heard the scrambler coming before walking out in front of it and then the other side the guy driving should have seen her and moved out of the way. Both as bad as one another. I know I might get flak for this but it's the truth.
Listening without headphones doesn't stop you from hearing other sounds around you unless you have the volume through the roof. Headphones nowadays usually have noise cancelling functions, making them very dangerous to use while driving anything, let alone something that doesn't shield your body somewhat.
They are probably the most stubborn hoors around (while admittedly a vital cog in society).
Like above, don't bother their arse cleaning the roads after themselves. Barely even pull in on narrow roads when driving heavy machinery. Often see them driving REALLY old cars/jeeps because they are too cheap to buy a new one. Don't seem to have any life outside of the farm. Complain about every.single. EU directive.
They have to.
But like so many other laws it's just ignored and not enforced.
Why companies issue branded laptop bags to their staff. Surely it's a huge security issue having people walking around the city centre - and socialising after work, etc - basically advertising the fact that they more than likely have company IP on them???
I feel the same about branded lanyards, tbh. A colleague of mine is a former journalist and he said before he picked up more than one story just from overhearing people talking shop while still wearing their swipes in the pub after work.
When I was 16 I worked for a man that was building a house and he had me sweep up the muck every time a tractor drove out on the road in case someone crashed and sued him. They were delivering fill as the site was below the road.
Seriously,my pet hate. Roads absolutely destroyed over the winter months.
Another thing I wonder about.
Why do farmers not have to clean up the road after them when hauling out of fields?
I know what you mean but as a car driver I am surrounded by steel and have mirrors to see all around the car Versus a cyclist who has no protection and usually no mirrors. I would have thought that the concern for their own well being would more important than anything else. I certainly don’t want to start an argument.
Why is it that when I talk to my dog in a Scooby Doo voice she seems to understand me way better?
Yeah, because motorists never listen to stuff in their cars. I sometimes listen to music when I'm cycling but I'm still aware of my surroundings. I'd have it as background music, and wouldn't put on a podcast which requires more active listening.
(And I'm not trying to start a "Two wheels good, four wheels bad" argument.)
Driving through heavy traffic this morning and wondering why so many cyclists/scooter users who are mingling with the traffic have headphones on. Surely if your life depended on being very aware of surroundings you would think they’d need to listen.
I know I am an adult man. But with my adult money I bought myself a cheap enough laptop and a thing called Steam to get the games.
Things I wonder about, how come 25 years later games are not as good as Command and Conquer ?????
What a game
Ah ! A command and conquer man !
I would prefer the Chronsphere way myself !
Or in ireland how people say "lads".
Are there still people in Ireland who go to a place like Tralee? For example, it would be like going to a big city; they spend all their lives in a small village where they were born. I know that before mass transport and the advent of public transport, it was common, but in today's society?.
It is a 1.5-hour drive from Ballyferriter to Tralee, which has got me thinking about this.
The latter. The former just makes money for social media and traditional media
