Reports stating that Israel have launched an attack against Iran
The violence and destruction is so senseless I am convinced this is boys with toys for the most part. All these super brilliant weapons… we gotta play with them!!!!
Yes, though the assessment is not mine, I do agree with it.
As for Israel's territorial claims and attacks, there is a rationale for each:
They're not attacking Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey or Kuwait, and despite the conspiracy theories being floated about "Greater Israel" they have no interest in doing so. That's because these countries are not threatening them and Israel has nothing to gain by starting a fight with them. Quite the opposite, in fact.
Prior to Gaza, long term data shows the ratio of deaths to be about 20 Palestinians to 1 Israeli.
For Gaza over the last 2 years, the ratio is at least 60:1
I've not seen any numbers for Lebanon but I'd imagine it's circa the 20:1 mark. Could be up to 60:1 mark soon enough though.
The gas field is also shared with Qatar, supposedly a US ally.
The assessment of Israel's geography as terrible is not mine - it comes from external sources.
Yes, but you posted it so presumably agree with it and find it credible. No?
I agree that Israel taking on Turkey and countries far afield then annexing it seems ridiculous.
But, Israel is well able to wage war on Iran. They won't put boots on the ground but they will flatten it.
Closer to home though, Israel has illegally taken land from the Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. It has waged war on Gaza - it still occupies more than 50% of it.
It has illegally taken Golan and other parts of Syria.
It is currently re-invading Lebanon (boots on the ground) and has threatened to take everything south of the Litani.
And just back to Gaza - it's very clear how Israel can terrorise 2 million people, kill over 70,000 of them and subjugate the rest. Something they've been doing for decades.
Gaza wasn't called an "open air prison" for nothing.
And for such a minuscule population, how come they are top of the leaderboard for killing journalists in the last two years?
The assessment of Israel's geography as terrible is not mine - it comes from external sources. See the video I posted and then remind us how Israel can wage war with and occupy Turkey or Kuwait or God knows where else, when it has a miniscule population and core heartlands on indefensible lowland coastal plains.
And even if they wanted to or could (again no reason to believe either) how exactly would 7.2 million people would run such a vast empire?
No-one needs to march though?
Israel has the latest in airborne weaponry. They bombed Gaza into rubble, are currently doing the same to Beirut and pounding the gas field in Iran. They are well able to wage war at a distance.
Geography doesn't really come into it. Especially when you have nuclear weapons and the ability to kill people far far away with pagers.
The use of a phrase like "a horrifying geography" is exactly what you'd expect from an Israeli Govt. Spokesperson or the IDF.
If you were making this argument a couple of hundred years ago, I doubt anyone would disagree. But in 2026 its nonsensical and pure Hasbara.
A Qatari gas field attacked now. Bonkers stuff. Ironically it looked like Qatar was on the point of ending its entente with Iran and its ancillaries, and now the US and Israel have put their lifeblood in jeopardy.
I didn't realise the war had spread here already. Martin must have really peed off Trump yesterday.
Super Cup football game in Bahrain has been interupted due to safety concerns.
Not being funny but Iran's 'intelligence' appears to be still in a grim state. Only massive Mossad infiltration could have given them the whereabouts of the two most senior security officials.
I explained it with an analysis/video I've posted on a number of occasions. The idea of a country in this position with such precarious geography and a small population marching on Cairo or Kuwait some place in Türkiye, is so far outside the realm of rational belief that it defies understanding.
This below analysis comes from a source I consider to be apolitical:
Why Israel has a terrible geography
Fed rates kept unchanged despite Trumps efforts to pressure them to cut
11 out of 12 voted to hold citing Middle east tensions and rising oil prices.
Well, apparantly it promised to them thousands of years ago and they want to establish a 'greater Israel' so tough **** if you live where they want to take
It could be, but why? That land would never be there’s and it just gives a legitimate reason for Hezbollah to fight on. This way maybe they hand over the land to LEBANON to control without the influence of Hezbollah.
Could it be? Israel are following their normal playbook of massacring civilians to clear them out of the land they want to possess. Settlers will move in to finish off anyone left as they steal homes and land
If he grows his hair a little longer, dons a shell suit and starts smoking a cigar he will be on a par with saville. Will probably be remembered like him
“President Trump’s request to delay his long-awaited summit with President Xi Jinping underscores how significantly he underestimated the fallout from Operation Epic Fury,” said Ali Wyne, senior research and advocacy adviser for U.S.-China relations at the International Crisis Group. “A show of U.S. force that was meant to intimidate Beijing has instead served to puncture the illusion of U.S. omnipotence: Unable to reopen the Strait of Hormuz alone, Washington now needs its principal strategic competitor to help it manage a crisis of its own making.”
Donnie no friends bohobooooo…
Hezbollah terrorists have killed around 150 innocent Israeli citizens in their rocket attacks over the last 20 years. Absolutely wrong and I condemn all murders irrespective of religion, race etc.
How many Lebanese people have been killed by Israel in the last 20 years? They have killed nearly 1000 people in a few days including 111 children. Also wrong.
The hatred continues to grow.
Could it be that none of these countries expect Israel to soak up nightly missile attacks without repercussions? And can we start using Hezbollah controlled areas rather than Lebanon.
My understanding was Trump didnt have any time for Reza Pahlavi.
Would be more persuasive if posters could post links to online videos they reference.
.
As a non-signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Israel is not subject to full IAEA safeguards, unlike Iran.
Reza Pahlavi is appearing in various videos calling for the people to take to the streets tomorrow night, the last night of Ramadan.
Also lots of online videos showing Persians dancing last night to celebrate Chaharshanbe-Suri. (First time that i have ever heard of this festival)
I have no idea
Russians attacked Iran's nuclear reactor? What are you on about? Send a link please. (Not a Tweet).
No idea, that's what i wondered. Probably the Russians
I missed this. Who sent drones to a reactor?
'a fate worse than death' you say
It is farcical that Iran hasn't been expelled from the IAEA.
If it's the South Pars field they've hit and taken out of action, that will cause a huge pump in price.
