Prima Facie sold out in about four minutes. I know it was the Gaiety but I was surprised with no queue or waiting room.
Does anyone know how or where we can enter the bord gais presale code for Sigur Ros?
Bord gais says to go to Ticketmaster and enter the code, but there's no way to enter the bord gais presale to enter the code. Very confused!
Master Boot Record in the Academy in November. Retro computing (hence the name) meets metal.
Rubbish same tour was announced for uk dates including 6 nights in the 20k o2 arena and plenty more dates across the uk, while marley may not have been available she could have been put there or 2nights in St.annes right from the off
Glad to see them get their own gig. I've been very impressed with them the couple of times I've seen them. She's phenomenal. I'll try to make that.
Theatre, Whelans Upstairs, Thursday 21st May; https://www.whelanslive.com/event/theatre/
Same night as pot-pot in the Workmans.
ah she wasn’t at arena level when they announced here and 16,000 between the two nights seemed fair enough at that time. always hard to judge those hyped up acts right off the bat. Also artist management usually scared to throw their act into a 35,000 field straight away
New venue means you can ask for a refund.
probably trying to figure out if using those 2 dates for longitude, now that they aren’t opened it up.
Dunno is it due to demand but My MCD and ticketmaster pages for Olivia Dean presale happening now seem to be banjaxxed.
Good to see, its some jump in capacity of show, fair play to her mcd messed up going fairview in the first place when she was filling areans in the UK and was only going to be more popular as the months role by
Yeah, fair.
Do they get an option for a refund?
Fairview, St Annes et al a pain coming from the southside!
Marley is easy enough to get to. 15 to Knocklyon and then the S8 drops you right at Marlay. Or door to door from Croker to Marlay on the 16.
Getting home is the problem but no harder than getting back to Rathfarnham from Malahide or St Annes.
Our public transport is abysmal. Needless to say.
Yeah I agree, I get demand is demand and they could cater when they can but idk I feel it for them, some shows in the 3arena for winter might have been a compromise. I hope at the very least they all get front standing for Marlay.
Was thinking that alright. Bit surprised it wasn't upgraded sooner tho. They sold out in minutes last August.
MCD: "Fans holding tickets for Fairview Park will receive priority access to the front of stage pit standing area at Marlay Park."
That would be a pain if you were coming from the Northside
Was thinking the same thing, absolutely sucks IMO, hope there all upgraded to gold circle and not just shunted into general admission
both nights will fly out. bit rough on people who were going to see her playing in the somewhat intimate fairview tent.
Olivia Dean upgraded to Marlay Park
With the app is a matter of luck.
For Sigur Ros today I used it, because when I clicked the link from the promoter's email it redirected me straight to the app. But it was smooth, so no complaints (for today at least 🤪).
November/December is the new June with all these gigs
Its moronic.
They could stagger them somewhat.
Different days and times.
A lot of people here seem to have issues with the app. I deleted it ages ago, much easier to just use the website
Don't know what I'm doing wrong today. Have opened the app, clicked on your link, have the password but I'm not even getting the opportunity to click on search tickets. I'm logged in, was online from 10 so I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Anyway, cheers.
Didn't realise that, cheers. That's fairly sneaky pricing. Guess it's also to trick people into thinking the other prices aren't so bad on comparison. A lot of sharp practices going on with ticket sales lately. Thought I was fairly tuned in but wasn't wise to that
Haven't checked this gig specifically, but the front rows for the Olympia are always stupid money these days, and then if no-one buys them at those prices, they'll reduce the price row-by-row to be similar to the back/middle rows. If they manage to sell some tickets at €140 to people willing to buy them, then they're happy to leave a chunk of them up at high prices for a while.
Played it all throughout 2024:

Some tickets are 130e and 140e for the Broken Social Scene, Stars gigs. I know there's 3 bands playing but seems a lot. Maybe they expect the diehards to pay it although standing is only 64e in comparison.
Some pain having 4 separate presales at the same time for the same gigs. Not sure what tickets are held back too so it's a bit of a mess all round
Seem to be plenty when I look, code ILMKJARNAOLIA
