The Toto song in question was a minor UK hit in 1983, peaking at #37.
I always had a soft spot for that Toto song - I Won't Hold You Back - which was sung by guitarist Steve Lukather. Unusually at that time, it was written by Steve, rather than by keyboardist David Paich who dominated the song writing (either on his own or as co-writes) on Toto 4, the album it was taken from, e.g. two big hits: Africa and Rosanna.
Roger Sanchez's Another Chance - the '00s song in question which sampled parts of I Won't Hold You Back - is both infectious and clever.
This was the follow-up to Modjo's "Lady (Hear Me Tonight)". It didn't achieve the same success, peaking at #14 in Ireland and #12 in Britain.
Eddie Van Halen had a lot of praise for Steve Lukather. He called him a "musician's musician" and a "chameleon".
Probably a bit less famous than Alex Gaudino and Crystal Waters' version!

A quick bit of research tells me that the guy responsible for this remix is from Lurgan!
And here's the brilliantly-named Truth Hurts with her Rakim-featuring track, "Addictive".
Lee Brennan, another boy-bander who went solo when his group (in this case 911) called it a day. This is his 2002 single "Turn It Around", which went all the way to #73 that year.
WWE announced the soundtrack for their 2K26 game today and contains some 2000's songs including this.

Many people would be shocked to learn that Tal's original only reached #30 in Britain.
Reached #11 in the UK but only 46 here.
It wasn't even their highest charting UK single - that was "Susan's House" in 1997 (#9).
