Reports stating that Israel have launched an attack against Iran
They actually arresting their own journalists in Israel for trying to report on the real damage. There's a five year prison sentence for anyone posting videos of the actual damage in Israel.
Care to point to a single post of mine where I supported the deplorable Israeli regime?
If only Israel was a free and open country with free media where journalists are not slaughtered with impunity. 36000 I believe dead at the last count.
And the international press are still banned.
I’m suggesting that both the Americans and Israelis have a history of attacking schools and hospitals so suggesting they wouldn’t attack them if Iranian soldiers were not present is patently untrue.
Even The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine sounds like a fanatical freak.
General Caine also paid tribute to the eight US service members who have died and the thousands prosecuting the war, which he described as "perfectly organised chaos… [the] beautiful symphony of American spirit."
I mean an Israeli supporter posting this is just the most tone deaf thing ever posted on this site and that’s saying something. In Gaza , Israel prefer to murder the journalists instead of imprisoning them though. They’ve murdered more journalists than everyone else put together over this past number of years.
Why the need to blame Israel for something that is now broadly recognised by most people who are not Donald Trump, was carried out by American forces? It's trumpian levels of bizarreness, frankly.
Whoever provided the location for the strike on the school clearly f..cked up (somewhere along the chain of information). Occam's razor, along with basic common sense outside of irrational conspiracy theories, screams this.
If only Iran was a free and open country with free media where journalists are not jailed and operating NGOs that could report and investigate freely various atrocities carried out by both sides /s
I'm happy to have a rational discussion on this if it can be done without the "evil Israel" trope, and stick to realpolitik. I'd say the most likely outcome once the hostilities quieten down will be an Israeli withdrawal, but with a strong possibility that they will retain a buffer zone North of the Israeli border. I think long-term occupation would not be popular with most of the Israeli public. It's a big cost for questionable gains. If there is a new, less right-wing, Israeli government after the next election, then I think full withdrawal becomes more likely. I'd be hopeful enough that the Lebanese government will be able to negotiate at least a phased withdrawal of Israeli forces with security guarantees from the Lebanese.
With Hezbollah's declining influence (And moronic decision-making), the possibility grows that Lebanon will reach the same kind of peaceful co-existence with Israel that Egypt and Jordan have. Hezbollah taking a further hammering in the current conflict would assist this. That would be a big win for both the Lebanese government and the Israeli government, and it sounds like the Lebanese government would be on for this. Hopefully, elections will give us an Israeli government that will seize the opportunity.
I think he's right. They wouldn't.
They'd each get a 3 bed house, medical card, pets flown over, PPS numbers and the dole, fuel allowance, work upto 20 hours without losing benefits, fast track citizenship etc.
It's called treasure Ireland for a reason.
Another attempt at deflection.
I'm stating that we do not know the numbers killed, all your links show that a total number cannot be confirmed as of yet.
Oh, because you posted a false claim about over 100 dead children last week it doesn't matter?
Why don't folks try meet somewhere in middle. School strike was the U.S./Israel side, and a fair bit more than 3000 Iranians were killed by their own people.
You can't remain on the fence on the number who have died at the hands of the Iranian government in January, yet demand that I come off the fence on something that happened last week.
We do not know the exact figure as the links you sent clearly show, they cannot verify the amount who have died yet.
We can agree that any number is horrendous and shouldn't have happened.
Do we agree that the murders of 168 in a school was not caused by a failed Iranian missile?
So we are on the same page, we both believe that c 30,000 civilians were killed by their own government in Iran.
Apologies for suggesting anything different.
Indeed. And with Manic as well, a real-world expert on tanks in particular!
Only China's nightmare will become the US's nightmare. Anyway wouldn't listen to that guy, he'll literally more demented than Trump.
Can I get the decency of a response when you have lied about what I've said?
They were unable to independently verify any figures, yet I have been accused of mistruths when repeating the 33,000 figure, unless of course you believe the official Iranian sources.
A neocon hawk scumbag.
Not daft at all, given the attitude of support towards Iran shown by many.
Are you suggesting that the school and the schoolchildren were deliberately targetted by the Americans?
Lindsey Graham
“When this regime goes down, we are going to have a new Middle East, and we are going to make a tonne of money,” Graham, a longtime proponent of US military intervention abroad, told Fox News on Sunday.
“Venezuela and Iran have 31 percent of the world’s oil reserves. We’re going to have a partnership with 31 percent of the known reserves. This is China’s nightmare. This is a good investment,” said Graham.
You left this out of the article you linked. “TIME has been unable to independently verify these figures”
Some people just want to be outraged by hypothetical situations that they have invented in their mind.
The mood in Vietnam is very tense. Everyone talking petrol. Caps on how much you can get and colleagues queuing for an hour and a half for just one euro of petrol for their scooters. Prices way up.
l know it's far removed from the destruction in the Middle East but the effects are real. I got a taxi tonight to save fuel in my own motorbike. My wife will come back to the city tomorrow and stay away from work. We are cancelling a trip this weekend because it would be five hours of petrol in her car. The government is recommending work from home and we're not even the most vulnerable country in the region.
It's all very real.
Like I said, I don't see any reason for Iran to not put this pressure on the rest of the world. America wants allies everywhere but they shaft everyone just to protect Israel.
I am left wondering would they get the same support in Ireland that they got in Australia.
Why wouldn't they? Australia are hardly know for their compassion for Refugees, where as Ireland has taken in 80,000 war refugees.
Daft thing to wonder.
I wonder will Netanyahu leave Southern Lebanon when this war is over. When he showed his picture of a greater Israel at the UN last year, Gaza and West Bank and Southern Lebanon were part of Israel.
Sorry can you point out anywhere I said I believed the numbers put out by the Iranian regime?
That's something else you'll have to retract like your claim that 168 people were murdered in a school from a failed Iranian missile.
Will you retract both false statements?
