Onion Bhaji Quarter Pounder Burger with chips and garlic mushrooms.
and salt…
This post has given me a hankering for KFC. Haven't had it in years. Anyone any recommendations on what to get?
Also, what program was it? Would love to see it, always enjoy programs like this!
The program was on C4 last Tuesday. The title was Nando's vs KFC:Battle of the brands. Maybe you'll find it on catch-up.
I simply like the fried chicken, chips and the gravy. But I must say that KFC chips are possibly the worse of the fast food outlets. IMO.
Go to Hillbillies…..
😂 Of course. Curry ketchup as well.
Does anyone know if you can get proper chip curry? Not the powder you have to add water to.
Green beans and mushrooms with rose bean curd. Beef fried rice.
No prizes for presentation. 😂 (it looks decidedly Lovecraftian)
I always get the Boneless Banquet from KFC.
Comes with 3 of the mini fillets, popcorn chicken, chips and gravy (or beans but I've never met someone who orders beans from KFC).
No original chicken?! 😵💫
I might throw in an extra original chicken now and again 😅
Preparing a spinach, potato and black eyed peas curry for later.
I used a can of Mitchell's spinach puree. It looks dank af but tastes amazing… 😋
lazy but delicious. Aldi chicken thigh burger, bacon, all the salad & jalapeños. Plastic cheese for burgers for me ! Chunky chips & wine as was a stressful Monday !
ALDI to chicken thigh burgers? chips look fab - what are they?
Pork loin roast on Sunday.
Leftover hot pork and onion rolls today. The onions were cooked in the dripping.
Partners birthday, so she requested lasagne. Slaw and wedges. Spent all yesterday making the meat sauce.
Another visit to Andhra Bhavan on Marlborough St. tonight.
We had the Mixed Thali - a selection of non veg and veg curries/dahls and chutneys. It comes with rice/popadum and a fantastic crispy filo pastry nan that’s not in the pic. Packed as always, it’s a great curry house. 10% discount if you pay cash.
Got halfway there with Lasagne last night. Made a massive pot of Ragu with beef and pork and had with some pasta. Intended building it tonight but couldn't get pasta sheets I liked. Only have a pic of the soffritto! Made quesadillas this evening instead with some beef chilli I had in the freezer. Lasagne tomorrow night!
wow looks fab - i'd v full and satisfied after that.. i am sure your partner enjoyed..
slaw looks fab - recipe please?
Aldi chunky - navy bag- beautiful
I’ve an arsenal of lamb dumplings in the freezer- me & my mom were busy. Best way to freeze imo is to cook , freeze on a tray & toss into s freezer bag, so dumpling noodle soup- always udon for me, heavy on coriander & Lao gan ma
Cabbage, carrot, scallions, sliced. Dressing was just homemade mayo and nat yoghurt 1:1, a teaspoon of mustard and apple cider vinegar, some caraway seeds, salt, white pepper and a tiny bit of sugar. Adjust ratios to taste.
Well ended up late in work so didn't bother going shopping. Had to make do with the 4 sheets and 11 cannelloni tubes I had in stock. Ah well enough for 4 of us and some left for my lunch. If I have time to get pasta sheets I'll build them for freezer tomorrow or else portion and freeze the ragu. Still nearly 2kg of ragu left!
Beef lasagne and some really wilted basil:-)
Fasolakia Lathera (me patates)
Hummus on toast, moringa yoghurt. Beetroot and rocket.
I used Lidl's frozen green beans, which are very good. And passata rather than canned tomatoes.
After weeks of the dredge of eggs and smoked salmon, i got a redemption:
A lambshank redemption in fact.
Tomato and red lentil soup with dried purple basil and crushed brazils.
Bacon and coleslaw in sourdough.
Long day. Finishing off the lasagne.
Pasta, wedges, bit of toast.
I picked up a pizza thing in Lidl yesterday, only 2.50e and it's not full of junk so I gave it a go.
Ham, mozz, onions, mushrooms, olives, grated pecorino. Pepper!
Pizza and garlic bread here as well. Less prep though.
BBQ chicken.
