Reports stating that Israel have launched an attack against Iran
Well America isn't targeting anyone in Lebanon but sure - I'm not defending either of those. The Iranian attacks are more deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure though - albeit just less successfully.
A seventh US soldier has been killed during the Iran war, US Central Command has announced.
The service member died from injuries received during Iran's initial attacks across the Middle East.
"The service member was seriously wounded at the scene of an attack on US troops in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," it says in a statement.
Ah come on. Israel targets civilian areas like it’s going out of fashion. They blew up a village in Lebanon the other night to dig up a grave in a grave yard and killed over 40 in the process.
Ok I'll be more specific. Israel and US are hitting civilian infrastructure all over Iran and Israel in Lebanon as they always have. And Iran warned if they were attacked they would lash out at all Gulf states that harbor American bases , said gulf states have been shooting down missiles which sadly shrapnel has been hitting civilians and to be fair from what I've seen they are targeting American officals and army personnel in hotels which unfortunately could hit others , that is collateral damage sadly. But Israel and the US are pounding Tehran and absolutely targeting civilians day and night to push in regime change in an illegally started war. I'm not on any side I just state what I see and read .
said gulf states have been shooting down missiles which sadly shrapnel has been hitting civilians
Oh please. Iran has been sending drones straight into hotels ffs. There is no need to just blatantly lie about what Iran is up to to oppose US/Israeli actions.
Fine, I amend slightly to say that Iran is doing so more indiscriminately than the US.
Iran is attacking multiple countries who had nothing whatsoever to do with attacking it and dragging them all into the conflict. On top of being morally abhorrent, it is strategically idiotic.
Yes into hotels where it has been reported that American officals and diplomats have been staying . I literally said already.
Sure. Just like Russia keep blowing up apartment blocks with secret NATO meetings taking place in them.
Again, you can oppose the conflict without running cover for Iranian propaganda.
Apart from them stating if they were attacked they would do exactly that , it's extremely smart being it's the gulf states that are pressuring the US to stop . So the exact opposite of what you say really.
Would you say the same about Gaza?
This isn't about Russia , pretty sure theres another thread you can go for that . And once again it's been widely reported about near misses of American diplomats in hotels in Dubai .
Don't accuse me of Iranian propaganda, I'm about on the fence as one can be . Iran isn't innocent of course but they are just fighting back as they said they would if attacked . Which they have illegally by the US and Israel for no reason really , well that's not true , we all know it's what Israel wants.
False. Russia is involved up to its neck in this. They are Iran's allies, have helped manufacture the drones attacking Gulf countries, and provided intelligence to Iran to help the latter direct its attacks. Russia bears almost as much responsibility for Iran's attacks in the Gulf as Iran bears for Russia's genocide in Ukraine. That is to say, extensive responsibility. Two peas in a pod.
Zelensky points to Russia-Iran coordination in Middle East drone strikes
Amazing, the only bad guys in this conflict are Russia and Iran. Way to stick your head in the sand.
The oily smelly thick black smoke currently choking Tehran suburbs will surely lead to death for the old, the ill and the very young among the utterly defenseless population.
The tiny minded men with their powerful weapons must surely face justice when this madness is over. delivering democracy - ???
Delivering death and destruction - on a daily basis.
reported by whom? Reported where? Be great if you can share these reports
It’s bizarre the lengths some are going to defend the indefensible
Who are the good actors?
The guys who voted for this are quite good
Those who didn’t or abstained…
So hold on there now. You have evidence that Israel and America deliberately targeted the school knowing scores of children would be killed?
I am completely against this war-attack by Israel and America. But I’m also not just going to blindly believe everything said against them..
If you think that Iran's response was pathetic go get some diesel tomorrow. 3 weeks from now you will be saying how cheap it was and feel sorry you didnt buy more.
Even if the war stop tomorrow prices of everything will be increasing for months to come.
People like you sadly have no idea what is coming to them.
A unique black Tomahawk missile and precision-strike missile were also launched, footage shared by the US Navy and US Central Command appeared to show.
Iranian-style suicide drone
The Lucas (FLM-136) kamikaze drone was modelled on the Iranian Shahed 136, infamous for its use by Russian forces in Ukraine.
There are few public details of the weapon, but it is said to have the ability to find targets beyond the line of sight, including ones that suddenly pop up in front of it.
Reportedly its reverse engineered from the Iranian Shahed drone, but painted black so radar can't see it and to suppress infrared targeting.
Why are you posting a rely to me when I didn't ask you? I queried another poster's comment.
But seeing as you've posted a list of voters, you might explain how that qualifies them as an "actor" in this conflict?
Can understand your reluctance to believe that Israel would target a school. They were all untouched in two years of the Gaza onslaught. Every school remains in place and no children killed at all. America would never have provided weapons for such attacks in gaza so all is honky dorey with that track record
They are an actor because our democratically elected representatives are everything the Iranian regime hates, a symbol they despise to such a degree they murdered 36,000 of their own people protesting for this concept called “democracy”
Edit: 56 year old Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the dead Supreme Leader Khamenei, 'elected' as Supreme Leader by the Assembly of Experts. Seen as close to the Revolutionary Guard.
US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said Sunday that the "period of elevated energy prices" will be temporary, "but it will not be long," as the Iran war continued into a second week.
Oil and gas prices "shouldn't go much higher than they are here because the world is very well supplied with oil," Wright said on "Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan." He insisted there is "no energy shortage at all," saying the U.S. is a large exporter of natural gas and although refineries in Europe and Asia are seeing "interruptions in their crude flows," there are "massive energy stores around the world.""What you want is emotional reactions and fear that this is a long-term war," Wright said. "This is not a long-term war; it's a temporary movement."Wright said the U.S. still has 400 million gallons of oil in the strategic oil reserve, and "we're more than happy to use that if it's needed." But he added that it's a "logistics issue" because refineries in Europe and Asia need oil."We're just doing pragmatic things to get through a short period that will that will bring in an era of even lower energy prices because a major energy-producing region of the world, the Middle East, will no longer have a strong, powerful Iran that can threaten their neighbors, that can threaten the United States of America and that was not far away from a nuclear bomb."

Reports of 9th US soldier killed in the war.
Iran's Assembly of Experts has chosen a new supreme leader, a source inside the country tells CBS News.
The powerful clerical body tasked with selecting Iran's supreme leader has not announced it yet, but multiple of its members have said they have already concluded their discussions. The official announcement is expected to be made soon.
Some of the Assembly of Experts members have mentioned Mojtaba Khamenei, the second son of the former supreme leader, killed in the U.S.-Israeli initial strikes, as the leading contender.
In recent days Trump has been saying he could accept someone from the current regime. This is different from what the Israeli Ambassador to the US Leitner is saying, which talks of a "transitional government" including the minorities.
Reports the Dubai Marina tower has been hit after missile attacks.
If Bibi comes to the realisation that Israel is facing an existential threat to it's very existence he won't hesitate to use a nuclear weapons.
Wow, so no regime change ? Who'd have thunk it!
Let me get this right - you're saying MEPs are actors in this conflict? Presumably you're also suggesting that 157 are bad actors and 562 are good actors?
What do you think should happen to the 157 "bad actor" MEPs?
Or, following your logic, even those who voted against condemning Iran's brutal oppression are actually OK because they were democratically elected, sure?
As for the 36,000 figure you quote, where do that come from? I've seen 7,000 (which is corroborated) , 30,000, 33,000 now 36,000.
That's widely believed to the policy of every country which has nuclear weapons. Of course Israel isn't remotely close to facing an existential threat currently, so there's no issue there.
If anything it could strengthen the resolve of the regime, and support for it.
The choice of Mojtaba Khamenei as Iran’s new supreme leader is a signal of both continuity and rebellion among Iran’s clerical leaders.
“This is kind of an act of defiance … telling the Americans and Israelis, ‘You wanted to get rid of our system? Well in your face, this is a more radical person than his father who was assassinated,'” said Rami Khouri, a political analyst at the American University of Beirut.
“This is a sign of continuity, and we’ll see what that brings,” he added.
