Not sure exactly when this happened, but was up in Dundrum last Friday and noticed that the food trucks have been removed from outside the Pembroke square entrance.
The offbeat has also been reopened after a bit of a refresh.
Golden discs also looks to have now reopened in the old H&M kids unit too.
Someone posted that there was a planning permission issue with the foot trucks.
that’s an interesting space. The peoples park, pier and promenade in Dun Laoighre are also public spaces , the same argument about commercialising a public space could apply.
So a huge part of the Dundrum overflow car park has gone, anyone know if its all going and if so, what's ot being tuned into?
Was handy at night when you only need to park for a short time and was free after 7pm.
It's owned by DLR council..
They are removing a lot of car spaces, to promote active travel. They have a policy of reducing road capacity, to force people into walking, cycling.
Lovely.
Are they planning to do anything with the space or just leave it empty?
I never knew this place existed!
Kinda feel like Dundrum needs its own thread at this point.
The people of Blackrock are probably furious it's taking attention from the Frascati Centre chater.
Well I'm not one of those but I do find the general discussion of tenants moving between units in shopping centres and speculating who might take the old unit quite dull.
Anyone been to the new coffee place in Blackrock across from the Credit Union? I think it's called B4
No, but Mister Magpie finally opened in the old tea rooms in Blackrock park. An expensive overhaul for such a tiny building to then be left with a Mister Magpie at the end of it.
CeX in Nutgrove is gone. The unit is empty and all previous signage has been removed.
I was in the Cex in Bray recently and it was the best I've ever seen, a big shop with loads of dvds and blu-rays, not just games, phones and a few laptops. The people of Bray clearly live differently and I, for one, am here for it
A lot of empty units at nutgrove at the moment .
In other words, that Cex is on fire.
What's the age profile of customers going into Cex in Bray?
It usually skews more toward younger people when I visited the stores in Dún Laoghaire & Stillorgan.
Looks like Perfect kebab/new style pizza is closed in Monkstown and will be reopening as a Pizzamax
....
Zara Home seeking staff for a new store in Dundrum. This will be Zara's first home store in Ireland if I'm not mistaken.

Jamie's is shuttered.

Eddie rockets in Donnybrook gone

Krewe South in Charlemont Square is closed.
Luna will be opening their second cafe tomorrow at the junction of Roebuck Road and Fosters Avenue
Carved are opening in Charlemont Square. They have a very popular place down from Bord Gais theatre already.
Anyone know if Claire’s is still open in Dundrum or are they all gone ?
