At U20/6N(v Wales) Dan Ryan was selected POM. His running was very impressive(about 180m run). He has big potentiality in Connacht.
The way our academy is going you'll see loads wanting to get into it which is great.
Can't see that happening. If under 20s games are coming west they're going to be held in the Dexcom. No logical reason to rent a pitch from a soccer club.
Economically no great reason, but in terms of identity, connection to the fan base etc i can see lots of reasons to take the occasional game on the road.
I don't disagree with the idea, I just can't see a scenario where any potential games coming this way will get played anywhere but the Dexcom. There's been a huge financial investment there.

100% agree on the finance side, but would there be interest in galway for the u20s with all the normal games throughout the year.
Lot more interest than say Sligo. The IRFU will want internationals in their provincial grounds as well.
It's not a like for like comparison but the women's 6 nations match against Italy might be a good litmus test of what demand for such a match would be.

I think it reflects very poorly in the IRFU not sending u20's game to the other 3 provinces. The years we have 3 home games they could send at least one game out of munster
Has the logic been explained by the IRFU? I can only imagine it's because Cork is seen as the major rugby market least served by other competitions. How many URC games does Musgrave host, two or three?

Strangely the squad update only referred to the release of Ulster players for their game, not one Connacht player was mentioned.

Then yes, it is strange that no-one was released. Bealham and Bohan are obviously needed, but Darragh Murray and Cian Prendergast have limited chances of featuring.

With the fixtures so spread out at the moment, I think we need as much continuity in selection as possible. So same again unless we have any returnees from injury, with the enforced changes you've mentioned plus Naughton or Mullins in for Aki.
There will be plenty of opportunity for rotation when the schedules condenses for the latter third of the season.

Will be interesting to see what we do at 13 with Gavin, Hawkshaw, Ralston, and West all out. I assume Gilbert to outside centre and Naughton into the 15 shirt.
Forde and Jennings reunited in the centre? Played there for the under 20's IIRC.

He has improved this season but I hope it doesn't put to the rumours of the SA lock to bed. We do need a replacement for Joyce.
I think I'd trust Jennings anywhere from 11-15 but it would seem a pity to lose him under the high ball in the back three. Still, if needs must, him and Frode would be good to watch, that was an effective pairing at U20. I guess the other option would be to bring in John Devine at 12 and move Forde to 13?
We're lucky that this injury crisis has overlapped so much with the lighter schedule around the 6N. Need to start getting some bodies back.
Am I reading the update correctly and Blade, Murphy and Devine are all unavailable this week? That's a serious loss.
