Are they going up or down, any quotes yet?
TThat's Insane. 500 for can wtf
I bought Can at 430 and 18 6 12 for 550
Wouldn't quote in grasslands Kilkenny yesterday
I rang one of my local places on Wednesday last. Told me they couldn’t price anything.
Was in their yard today and place full of fertiliser. I won’t be buying anything there that’s for sure.
They are all saying the same now.
bought 18-6-12 with sulphur at €530 and cut sward at €540 off another local store. Both delivered and could give me price over the phone no problem.
Ok... from the horses mouth in one big concern and a friend got same answer in another down here.
Yard was full in grasslands as well, was told it's all sold, I have serious doubts about that but what can you say
It could be it could all bo loaded on trucks and go to the UK or France. This is the risk with fuel or fertlizer. There is a substantial amount of fertlizer in merchant and co-op yards that is still owned by the fertluzer suppliers. These suppliers could be approached from anywhere in Europe and the fertlizer exported to them.
Just for clarification grasslands is ifi's main bagging facility, so I would assume they own what they have in the yard, but you could be right.
every country in the eu has a good portion of this years fert in stock due to cbam. There’s no scenario where I could see fert leaving Ireland to go to another country with in the eu. It didn’t happen during the height of the Ukrainian war. The price of it is going to go up, that’s what we’re facing
has it gone up yet anywhere
Everything is going up except the milk price.
surely with the current cost increases in the cost of production its reasonable to expect an increase in dairy and beef also but we don't life in an ideal world
with feed prices bound to also spike this would be a good thing for our milk price …markets in general atm are positive and price should start to recover
Im no expert but our feed comes from the Americas and as far as I can make out the Iranian thing won't affect they're fertiliser imports. Feed might go up abit due to fuel increases but I dont see it going mad. Then again with this fecking country you wouldn't know…
Mills never brought it down fully after the Ukraine war so won't need to put it up this time . 😄 🤣
I've said before, an empty sauce bottle of water sitting up on the wall is great to shoot into the ear to waking a fresh calf, haveing a bucket of water on hand and it getting spilled
P urea hitting 1100 in places as its difficult to get
Scandalous
How isn't it already in the country at this stage? Smells like gouging to me.
Why would u dream of buying it at that price over can?
Precisely. It's essentially a "buy our CAN" message for the urea faithful (which I am a part of). Urea must be harder to source than 2022
My supplier said it was being manufactured and bagged at the moment, but didn't know when or if he could get it. All urea in yard sold, he went through the yard Sunday to see if he had any to spare.
If urea can't be got what's the next best to put out now for early grass.
can plus sulphur …compounds next month
The Problem with Purea is that it has a 6 month shelf life. A lotnof lads like myself buy our requirement for the year in one whip. You do not want product made last November that is six months in April.
The protection goes at 6 months, at which point we're back to the glory days of yesteryear
Yes that is about it. TBH like anything elseits probably 8-10 months in reality but I would not be paying full whack for product with the shelf life witjin 2-3 months especially in Fwbruary.
My fertlizer was delivered earlier this week was not expecting it until next week. Talking to the rep he said they had to get it out of the yard as lads were constantly on about product in the yard
