Colm Reilly contract extended!
Begining to think all of these transfer rumours you hear pundits floating are just bollix.
So had a look back at the match on TV and it was clear that there were loads of seats available in the new stand and yet the stand was sold out
and to try and book a seat is nearly impossible. you have no idea if seats are or are not available. everything is greyed so you don't know if the seat is available or not unless you click on it. Surely you could have a hover function on each section showing the amount of available seats within that area. Also you should have red for unavailable and green for available.
Probably a case that not all season ticket holders turned up. There is no option for season ticket holders to put their seat up for sale if they are not attending a game.
Reilly and De Butlair signings bringing an end to the speculation around both positions I'd say.
You'd assume so, unless Tierney-Martin leaves, which seems very unlikely to me.
I hope not, he's a very decent player. Academy also has options in both positions who may come through.
Interesting the comments from Connacht associated with Rod Seib. Just thanks a bunch without any suggestion that he did a good job. Which really suggests he didn't
What? This is Lancaster's quote:
"His coaching has been outstanding, and he has had a great impact on the players helping them drive standards on and off the pitch."
Apologies, missed that one. Maybe I should rephrase. That is a very short stint for a part of the management team. And while I missed what Lancaster said all other statements seemed somewhat neutral
whats the story on Connachts admin?
they seem to be unreachable by phone email and socials
state of the art everything except for customer service!
Under Irish and UK's law, can a(once contracted) person do cool-off (go back to square without a penalty) even he or she already made some contract with other anyone ?
2 year contract for DTM
That's four hookers contracted for next season, a bit disappointed as I thought John McKee would be a bit of a no-brainer given he played his best rugby under Lancaster and is now 4th choice.
New contract for Shane Jennings too, no mention of length as of yet
I believe that leaves:
Buckley, Dooley, Lasisi, Aungier, Bealham, Dowling, O'Connor, Hurley-Langton, McCormack, Carty, Aki, Hawkshaw, Ralston, West, Mullins
There's now a rumour on Leinster fans that McKee may be off to the Prem.
Hurley-Langton is the key man there.
I thought Aungier was gone?
Nothing official announced yet.
Will Harry West leave too?
Very unlikely imo.
Gone. Most likely heading to France
How do you know this?
I'd be very surprised if he leaves Ireland. He's eligible to play for Ireland next year and I think he'll go straight in as a starter if he does stay.
Craggy rugby lads were discussing it on their podcast. They don't tend to comment on things without having a very good idea that something is confirmed.
This is a shame if it's true. He's our best 7, now if we're going to play Prendergast and Sean O'Brien, and Connors at 7 then fair enough, but it's shortsighted letting Ireland's future 7 go.
From Connacht's POV, we've been managing without him, but what 7s are there around his age for Ireland?
Hodnett (27), Kendellen (25), Scott Penny (26), and Dave McCann (25), the latter being more a 6/8.
I'd back SHL against any of the guys above. If necessary move him to another province with an NIQ slot, whatever, but keep him withing the Irish system.
Absolutely. SHL markedly superior to any of these four. That's why I'm so surprised he might be allowed escape the system and having completed so much of the residency qualification. Still think Leinster is an option for him if he has decided to leave Connacht.
There is the possibility that he wants to move on and experience life elsewhere, or that bigger money in France is more attractive than the possibility of playing for ireland at some point. That would be regrettable but understandable.
If the IRFU is not interested in keeping him within the system that would indicate that the coaches assessment of him differs from ours, which i would find a bit surprising.
When Sligo rovers new stadium is completed in roughly 2.5 years, the pitch will been extended to accommodate rugby games. Watching u20s and reckon a one off u20s game in Sligo would be cool.
