Lots of USAF aircraft passing north of Ireland over the last 10 days. KC135s, C17 mostly.
Majority are using the 'Reach' callsign.
So far I haven't seen any actually over Irish airspace, they seem to be staying over water until they get to Scotland then down to Lakenheath (or onwards to the Mid East)
Unless that guy has screenshots of thetransponder he could be just listening to commercial aircraft and making an assumption.
Not sure about "some amount" but a Lockheed C-130T Hercules flew directly over Kerry/Cork last night. I checked flightradar after hearing it.
Edit to say this was approx 8pm
No, the rainbow colours won't be a target as long as we sneak in at night…
Looking at 9.36pm.Irish time.
2x KC135s just passed Belfast. And I spot a C5 Galaxy south of Ireland (another over Italy) All 4 using the Reach callsign.
Meanwhile that C17 took off from Ramstein Airbase. With that callsign Im guessing it has munitions and is heading towards Israel.
my wife just spotted 3 fast planes fly over Bettystown , immediately thought it’s end of world Rich flying to bunkers or planes flying to Iran for war.
Doubtful it was either of those options
Moose is a general use callsign moving stuff around the Middle East. For obvious reasons they've been displaced.
91 was Ramstein to Jordan.
Ah. Ive seen 2 more Moose callsigns today.
Majority of the overflights that I see use 'Reach'
I thibk I have solved your wife's conundrum. 'Silver flight' over South Dublin 90 mins ago. Only 1 showing on FR24
It's the practice for Easter Sunday usually at this time of year.
They ended up in RAF Waddington. The Red Arrows ae training there also, so probably in for some display tips
"Air travel between Europe and Asia has been squeezed into a narrow corridor just 50 miles across after a drone attack on Azerbaijan closed the country’s southern airspace. The attack, which Baku blamed on Iran, has put further pressure on western airlines, which are struggling to maintain a viable east-west route while avoiding the war in the Middle East and bans on flying over Russia.Industry experts warned airlines would be forced to turn passengers away to ensure flights to Asia were light enough to make the entire journey if Azerbaijan’s northern airspace also shuts."

The second coming of the stopover.
The way it's going right now we might be looking at the retro return of the cold-war era Anchorage stopover.
Yeah it'll be connections in Anchorage, or Cairo and Addis Ababa you'd think as the next options.
The Saudis will be kicking themselves that Riyadh Air isn't already in widescale operation. It would have been a good opportunity to raise awareness and gain market share hugely.

4 KC-135s just took off from Ben Gurion airport. If the same as yesterday, they will loiter off the Kuwaiti coast.
I was surprised to spot their beacons there yesterdsy.
We all know that it's actually ADSB Exchange though. 😏
Yes, it's funny how you see some and not others. I think it's an element of brinkmanship in some ways.
The 4 tankers went dark just after crossing Jordan.
A pretty terrifying peace of kit currently operating off the coast of Norway.

Interesting spot; one I hadn't seen before. I wonder if it's in a operational role or just training/projecting?
It may be working with American ballistic missile submarines, I understand. Like yourself, I've never seen that particular aircraft operating in this part of the world. I'd imagine the Russian's are watching it closely too!
Well that in itself is eerie.
A RAF pilot seeking asylum in Wexford...?
He was told to go to MEXico but he misheard ......
Found those Kc-135s again, just along the Saudi/Iraqi border. FR24 shows their registration numbers. Edit 1750; This is the most tracked aircraft on FR24 at the moment:
https://www.flightradar24.com/3e9f5fad
Interestingly, it does not show on ADS-B
EDIT 1755, it literally just disappeared from FR24
