Are they going up or down, any quotes yet?
I've said before, an empty sauce bottle of water sitting up on the wall is great to shoot into the ear to waking a fresh calf, haveing a bucket of water on hand and it getting spilled
Mills never brought it down fully after the Ukraine war so won't need to put it up this time . 😄 🤣
Im no expert but our feed comes from the Americas and as far as I can make out the Iranian thing won't affect they're fertiliser imports. Feed might go up abit due to fuel increases but I dont see it going mad. Then again with this fecking country you wouldn't know…
with feed prices bound to also spike this would be a good thing for our milk price …markets in general atm are positive and price should start to recover
surely with the current cost increases in the cost of production its reasonable to expect an increase in dairy and beef also but we don't life in an ideal world
Everything is going up except the milk price.
has it gone up yet anywhere
every country in the eu has a good portion of this years fert in stock due to cbam. There’s no scenario where I could see fert leaving Ireland to go to another country with in the eu. It didn’t happen during the height of the Ukrainian war. The price of it is going to go up, that’s what we’re facing
Just for clarification grasslands is ifi's main bagging facility, so I would assume they own what they have in the yard, but you could be right.
It could be it could all bo loaded on trucks and go to the UK or France. This is the risk with fuel or fertlizer. There is a substantial amount of fertlizer in merchant and co-op yards that is still owned by the fertluzer suppliers. These suppliers could be approached from anywhere in Europe and the fertlizer exported to them.
Yard was full in grasslands as well, was told it's all sold, I have serious doubts about that but what can you say
Ok... from the horses mouth in one big concern and a friend got same answer in another down here.
bought 18-6-12 with sulphur at €530 and cut sward at €540 off another local store. Both delivered and could give me price over the phone no problem.
They are all saying the same now.
I rang one of my local places on Wednesday last. Told me they couldn’t price anything.
Was in their yard today and place full of fertiliser. I won’t be buying anything there that’s for sure.
