How is sizing on the Gore gear?
Bukley Cycles in Athlone and Tullamore have a 40 year anniversary sale on. Got a Giant Defy 1 with 105 Di2 for €1900. Some other good deals there.
Bike Components 10% of any order: WINTERSALE26
Valid till tomorrow
Did not work for me :-(. might contact them tomorrow.
Ah sorry I just seen the small print and it's 10% off winter sale items.
Just ordered a few bits code is still working cheers.
https://www.bike24.com/p2729383.html?sku=2493322 60 odd quid for an ultegra 12 speed cassette is great value imo
^^^ that's great value
I will caveat this by saying the offer is not available online and they may not agree to ship the group set. It depends on the member of staff you get on the phone or email.
But a full di2 ultegra groupset for a rim bike at €675 is a genuine bargain. They have also been known to remove vat upon supply of a valid Irish vat number. They have disc versions of 105 DI2 and Ultegra DI2 for a little bit more. The shop is genuine, very popular in Holland but a bit old school, last year I was left standing around the shop floor for nearly 45 minutes waiting for a staff member to actually help me.
The groupsets are bundled in brown boxes and not individually Shimano packaged as the shop buys in bulk to build up frame sets from various distributors who have excess stock.
The best way to see offers is unfortunately only on facebook at Wim de Vos
Actually I remember someone pointing out the shop lists items on the Dutch/Belgian equivalent of done deal so might be able to contact them there https://www.2dehands.be/u/wimdevosfietsen/28204679/p/2/#Language:all-languages|offeredSince:Altijd
I had seen that, but to be fair, if you only need a cassette, 675 quid is not a bargain! :D Could be worth getting a gang together though alright if you had a fella in need of each bit- always lads looking for levers/calipers/derailleurs.
They do seem to have a bit of a divil-may-care, like it or lump it attitude to customers and there are a lot of unsatisfied reviews on google. But deffo yeah, if what you want is in stock it's seems to be a proper source of bargain bikes and bits.
nabbed from the german forums - with code (WOEST5JAAR) 1160 shipped
Has anyone come across any helmet bargains / sales of late? I need something decent…
Not on sale but I got a Van Rysel RCR Mips helmet last year and really like it. I hesitated between the RCR Mips and RCR F (they didn't have the Mips version of the latter in stock - plus it's pricier) and went with the Mips one in the end
Agreed on the MCR Mips for the money. Not strictly speaking a bargain but……Sigma Sports have good prices on Kask and sometimes POC helmets. Well worth joining for further reductions.
Yeah, this was top of my list TBH, as I wanted MIPS (and anything else that might enhance the minimum safety level !) following my last one being destroyed in an accident last year. I've gone all safety conscious for some strange reason…..
Thanks for the testamonial !
How did you find the sizing?
I have the large non mips and find it bully.
Sizing I actually found very good. It's not every helmet that suits me as I find a lot of them, previous Decathlon models included, uncomfortable for one reason or another, but the RCR is snug and not too mushroom like
A couple of places have 17 percent deals today. Haven't noticed any specific bike stores but 2 that are close could be

Hunt 4 season wheel and 610 GRX is a decent spec for that money
Came across this site last night while looking for a new lid, i've ordered the Abus Gamechanger 2.0 in my size for €125 + €15 delivery which comes in €60 - €75 under normal retail.
There looks to be some other lids with 50% still on the site.
2x bottles of Muc-Off chain lube for less then a tenner, typically see it for 12+ euro for 1 bottle:
Muc-Off Dry Chain Lube Dry Chain Oil Bicycle 120 ml, Pack of 2 - Biodegradable Grease Chain Grease for All Types of Bikes - Formulated for Dry Weather Conditions : Amazon.ie: Sports & Outdoors
is dry lube actually any use in Ireland?
Maybe for indoor...<ahem>.... riding?
I find it far more use than wet lube for commuting. Wet lube just gets to gunky, dry ljube I just found I didn't need to either wash or change my chain as often.
The only down side there is that Muc Off lube is absolutely awful and many a bike youtube channel and podcast have pointed this out. It offers nothing to your chain at all.
smells nice though
I've been using the wet lube for 3 years and found it excellent given the price and ease of use, 90km weekly commute across dublin in all weather and for the last while, 40kms. I clean my chain using one of those rotary cleaners every few months and re-apply the lube. Its only a KMC chain so its nothing special. I don't think its use case is anything other than casual cyclists doing minimal maintenance, particularly given the price.
Same as, have been using it for a few years and no issues. Noticed no difference when I changed over from Shimano and Park lubes.
Rocacorba Clothing, based in Girona have 40% off online sales today, as it’s the owners 40th birthday
Have been out in Girona a good few times and spent a good few quid in their Black Friday sale last year, I really like the gear and it’s good quality
For jerseys I do have to go one size up, bib shorts are ok on the normal sizing
