Not sure what your point is. I have never claimed the cybertruck is a big sales success. Fact is that if you ordered one today, you won't get it until some time next year. So obviously Tesla can't make enough of them or they don't want too.
I did say here in 2022 that the Model Y could possibly become the best selling car (not EV) in the world in 2023 and I was ridiculed and mocked by many…
Anyway I agree with you that Musk isn't really all that interested any more in making Tesla cars except for robotaxis that can not be driven by humans
I can see the Tesla car division being sold off to a cash rich tech poor buyer like Apple, who failed with their own EV but who are capable of making very high margins on their products from their huge and extremely loyal fanbase
I think apple are happy enough sitting pretty on the PCs, phones and tablets market. I think if tesla were to get bought it would likely be by another car company who will just use the gigafactories for their own vehicles
Maybe not Apple, I was just speculating there. But I would consider it highly likely it will be a non-car company. Maybe Dyson, also failed their EV project which cost them billions, also a high margin - for what exactly? - company like Apple 😂 But they would need a lot of leverage. Google perhaps. I don't think FSD would be part of the deal, so they could soldier on forever with their autonomous project making a bit of progress every year towards perfection 🤣

Henrik. Nobody will lend him a penny to see him go bankrupt for the third time. Pity, nice man and a visionary. But it is very hard to mass manufacture and market a brand new car make from scratch, even if you don't even make the cars yourself

I hope so, nothing against the present company, but would like to see Tesla continue making some of the worlds best cars (imo) in their classes and expanding perhaps with an ID.3 size and a car above the Y.

You might be mixing up FSD with Autopilot.
I would agree, AP is irrelevant here, but proper full-on FSD - as is possible in several territories right now - is a game changer any technophile should be very interested in.

The only "wide" reporting of this are musk himself , Tesla staff and Tesla associated twitter accounts. And it's being propagated on that website.
