Fighting terrorism morelike
It can be hard to find up to date unbiased news. I'll admit I do go to sky news for certain coverage of live events. When world events occur, getting your news from rte or Virgin is pointless. Some very good YouTube channels out there with live camera footage. X has become a nightmare to get genuine info from, full of spam and AI fakes. Musk has destroyed it
It was clear from the very start that the EU was backing Trump and Israel. Our own government have been very careful with their statements also from the start. We are part of this whether we like it or not.
They cant be bothered not murdering schoolchildren whether that is in Iran or Gaza. Cui bono? Israel. By not having to take the time and discrimination in their attacks to minimise civilian casualties. The level of civilian casualties in Gaza and destruction of civilian infrastructure points to this and therefore is relevant to mention here as it relates to how Israel conducts attacks.
In your previous post looking for more information before you would criticise Israel - without any attempt to explain how this might be obtained given only Israel has access to that info and would not admit to such acts. That seems to set an impossible standard so you wont have to criticise Israel.
Looks like Jerusalem is going to be taking a bit of hammering tonight. What's air defence doing ?
I think what is most telling and what is being overlooked currently is the lack of any sort of popular uprising within Iran itself following Khamenei's death. There were many, many security and political commentators stating that a decapitation strike against the Iranian leadership would perpetrate an uprising that would start the process of the regime being overthrown. There is no sign of that happening. Clearly the opposition was completely put down earlier in the year. There does not seem to be much of an organised opposition remaining.
That should really be worrying the US and Israel as without an uprising, how does this end?
Khamenei was an old man that is replaceable. All of the leadership are. This is a fundamentalist regime that takes pride in being martyred. It is a nation that purposefully sent tens of thousands of willing students to their deaths during the Iran - Iraq War to clear minefields by walking across them to enable huge offensives, ultimately bringing a much better equipped military to its knees. Decapitation strikes are unlikely to bring about regime change. So what is the end goal for the US in particular?
Trump rambling on Sky News right now….how can any military personnel take this clown seriously? He’s praising himself on live tv while three of their colleagues lay dead. He’s the definition of abhorrent.
What do people mean Uk , France and Germany joining in?
None of them will be bombing Iran.
So Trump has just said the responsibility of toppling the regime rests solely with the Iranian people. Some prick!
American coffins coming home in the next few days.
President of peace.
Just guessing - the UK and France perhaps trying to boost air defence / interception for some of the other states in the region perhaps.
The Irish Government will as usual weasel it's way out
Trump calling on the Iranian people to rise up just now in his speech and Netanyahu stating earlier today that Israel is working to try and mobilise the Iranian opposition. What happens if they can't get them out on the streets? It's clear now that an uprising is a central part of the US - Israeli strategy.
I don't think there has been any real consideration for the possibility that this will just vindicate the views of the fundamentalists in the eyes of many Iranian moderates.
The extraordinary aspect is that the UK, France, Germany and the EU play along with all this. Trump and Netanyahu must have the most unbelievable hold over them.
They can be joining in and not be bombing… both can be true
UK, France and Germany were condemning Iran and not a word about the actual aggressors Israel and U.S.
They have no credibility.
He is right. Regime & political Change is what is needed. 47 years of oppression.
Starmer specifically said they will look to neutralise Iranian strike capability at source. I wonder did Bibi threaten to nuke if the EU didn't help him out? Bibi started this. The West is silly to be trying to save his ass.
Would be a shame if Al Aqsa got hit by a stray Iranian drone or missile 😁
This isn't war, its direct targeting of civilians by the "most moral army in the world". They seem to revel in killing kids.
Then you have people here jumping up and down when Iran hit an airport. Zionists love double standards. War crimes for thee but not for me.
You can be sure that was a targeted attack because the Israelis are sick fcuks.
After the Carter administration green lighted that very regime that’s been in power for the last 47 years.
The issue is his cowardice; he’s essentially set the stage to blame Iranian civilians for the mission's failure—which already seems inevitable—if they don't topple the regime themselves.
Despite starting this, he's terrified of the 'hornet's nest' a ground invasion would stir up, knowing it would dwarf the chaos of Iraq. But history proves you can't win a war on air power alone. The Iranian political and military leadership will have gone to ground, all they're bombing now is empty buildings.
At this point, the US and Israelis ARE the terrorists, killing anyone that they don't like for no reason other than they feel like it!
Professor Seyed Marandi stated clearly before this latest Israeli aggression against Iran, if Iran was attacked it would cripple Israel and US assets in the M/East. They knew what would happen. Assassinting Ayatollah Khomeini was stupid by the US/Israel. It shows a complete lack of understanding of the Shia religion.
Bored of Peace - short attention span.
Cowardice my as lol… He acted bravely.
It is not already inevitable.
The first Gulf War was mostly won in the air.
Carter was weak
