In my view, Dom hasnt really been playing well (regardless of position) since we knocked him out of the world cup. But it’s been masked by some absolute world class moments. He’s pure class, but focus isnt always there

I think he's much better running forward from fullback tbh, but I'm not against him starting in either spot.
Was reaching for it a bit but should have at least hit the target.
It's strange he doesn't seem to have bulked up at all since he first appeared in the first team squad.
I'm still not sure what his best position is.

Strange game, could of conceded a couple more, could of scored a couple more, some really sloppy periods. We take the win and move on.
To be fair we were well on top in first half. Team came out in the second a bit switched off, which has plagued us in other games this season, however they at least earned a little bit of complacency today.
I much prefer getting out in front first half and switching off a little, than being switched off all game and scrambling a win or a draw at the end.
Salah continues to offer little, has to be a change there in the summer.
He sounded like a complete melt there, I never usually pay attention to him but Jesus, we did plenty enough attacking to win the game, just the defending was a bit off.

Salah a non-entity again. It's such a problem for the team overall to be carrying a player. Frimpong should be playing there on current form. I'm not convinced about midfield either. If you play 2 deep midfielders, they need to be able to win their duels and protect the defence.
But a wins a win and there's no point saving your best stuff for West Ham at home.

Wait a second, how come you're allowed to criticize a bonified living legend in Mo Salah referring to him as a "non entity again" but we are not real "fans" as you put it if we point out Gakpo's obvious limitations? Despite Mo getting 6 assists in his last 10 games compared to gakpo's 1 goal in that same time period?
Are you now a fake fan too or what? How do we know when we are allowed criticize obvious flaws or not?

Gakpo hugely involved - not a perfect game, a few mistakes, but a very good game. Kerkez very good on the left again. Szobo not quite up to his level, but still worked his balls off and got back in some important situations. The only real low point was unfortunately Mo. Just hiding out on the right again, taking too much out of the ball more often than not. Would have preferred he be the one to go central when Ekitike went off - think that's really the only way to get him into games now.
Still plenty to improve upon, but a far more relaxed watch than we've had in a while.
