I wanted to do a bit of shopping earlier, and as soon as I got to the exit/entrance of my estate, there was traffic! Loads of traffic! I then remembered that there was a protest planned outside in Martin Heydon's office which is right beside the Aldi that I was going to.
Thankfully, annoying tractors blocking the Saturday afternoon traffic don't block me on my bike…so I rule the world!!! (Or I can manoeuvre slightly more nimbly…) 😉Gridlock can be good.
I had a large Tesco order arriving today , but my card is acting up and it didn't go threw
We as an organisation and some family under some sever pressure during the week, seems like there was no where/thing I could go or do to relieve this.
The recreational use odours from next door was so heavy in the house even tho it was lashing and pretty much every shoe I own was wet I went to the park to do some stretches( as I couldn't get my head round anything that had instruction's + hand trembling!!!!!!!!!!!)
When I got there I saw a geor us bull terrier going mental after her ball, in a few they were joined by a whippet who was also mental to get a ball, the joy from both dogs and listing to the both owners chatting( such very different people on the outside) gave me such a lift.
A few mins later a pom joined the ball chase( the bull terrier had given up by then as she figured out she was no match for a lurcher)
Just seeing the dogs running or pouncing and the owners aka "mummy and daddy" standing chatting over their love of dogs and their passed dogs was so heartening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Found a shop that sells iced gems. Remember them?
They're still as nice as they used to be 😁
Ian Huntley is dying
It’s Friday … Hallelujah
I met the tiger cub again today, he was stalking me from afar at first unsure of me and then ran over to me when I started swishing a stick back and forth and was going mental trying to catch it 😂😁
Loving being able to get out walking without getting rained on again .
🥳 🎉 🍻
Waiting for the promised dry spell to get out for a walk with the dog I'm minding for a few days. I hate being covered in mud and splashes. And that look she gives me accusing me of being lazy.
out for a brisk walk in a tshirt and light padded jacket in February, was really nice, no breeze, no rain, just calm, quiet, headphones and a new playlist, nice and loud.
On the dedicated Horse Race channels on Sky. Either Attheraces or RacingTV.
Do they televise the Wexford Races? Never seen it.
My friend lives behind Wexford racecourse. Any time the races are on their kids always stand on tables looking over their back wall waving "To try get on telly".
They record it on the TV and play it back. You should see them lose their little minds when they see themselves on TV.
Richard Osman is back on the telly after the Winter Olympics … swoon
Ditto !
Well done Jessie 👏👏👏
And Cillian handing her the BAFTA too , brilliant .
Jessie Buckley winning all the award . She is wonderful and makes me happy
A walk on the beach yesterday, and a canal walk today, and didn't get lashed on once!!
Just changed my bedlinen … feels like I’m up in the clouds
planned going for a walk but stepped out and just got a sense that it might rain, waited at my front door, sending a couple of messages, connecting my headphones and queuing up a playlist then seeing it pîss down, happy as I would have been drowned as would have been about 4/5 minutes away from shelter. Back inside, cooked up a nice pasta dish and feet up and Spotify….
I was on ta lastish week giving out about the cost of having my work trousers turned up(my dyspraxia makes measuring correctly and pinning a task as impossible as being 4 again.
While I was there I asked them if they could do anything with the string tie of my well loved rain jacket, they did a great job reusing the material they had already, had a look yes and I can see how they did it!
so this am was dedicated to fixing all my string hoods copying their technique. €€€€'s saved and jackets saved from the yellow bin!
So th about that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dropped a pyrex dish with beef bolognese from the fridge onto the tiled kitchen floor, bout a 4.5 foot drop..
miraculously it landed plastic lid down, didn’t open, break or crack. Was looking forward to that dinner and there wasn’t much else aside from doing a fry or pasta ready meal. 5 minutes later fresh pasta with bolognese plated up….👌
Hints of yellow in my little garden this morning … the daffodils are acoming!
out walking and bumped into a lad I used to have a pint with in a pub probably 10 years ago.
We’d lost contact as he was a friend of a friend and only a more occasional drinker..but a reminder of great times, fun times and a different life. He’d moved from working in retail to healthcare and was great to hear that as he has a super personality and a real people focused guy and really funny as fûck to boot.
The sunnyshine.
The Internet failing miserably to show me relevant ads.
Met a ferocious tiger cub today on my way home
got out for a super long walk tonight just before the weather deteriorated again. Got the last newspaper in the shop too which was 👌… came around my corner towards home just as the rain came again. Couldn’t have timed it better.
The winter Olympics, I absolutely love it, some incredible sports in it that sadly don't really exists in Ireland but it's a great spectacle to watch.
I think Biathlon must be one of the coolest sports in the world, just looks so great on TV them skiing in and out of the forest and then taking shots in the shooting range.
If I ever became a billionaire I think I'd build a load of biathlon courses and sliding tracks, ice rinks so people could have an opportunity to try these sports in Ireland (accepting I'd have to come up with a way to create some snow aswell for the outdoor sports)
Seeing my cat’s eyes looking out the window waiting for me to return home from work
