That particular car should be €0 VRT and €0 vat etc based on year.
Theres also many ICE cars with 3 month warranty. It’s basically the statutory requirement and normally from the small dealers.
They can add longer warranties but it costs them. Worth asking for a quote before you complete the sale.
The car in question has 170k km
The i4 is a beaut, love the colour outside. Would look even better with a nice tan interior. The seller really went to town thick hard with that shiny spray the second hand dealers seem to love. Took months to get rid of it in one car I had.
Don't most manufacturers offer an 8yr / 160k battery and motor warranty?
For the general stuff, outside of motors/batteries it seems not much goes wrong - VW excepted.
Third party warranty companies won't cover EV's either so dealers can't offer extended 12/24 month warranties etc
That green is eye-catching. Would look well on the roads down here.
Have seen i4s M50s under Eur40k here, the odd lower-spec version under 30k so I'd say you're safe if importing.
I’ve seen a lot of second hand EVs with very short guarantees- I’m assuming it’s because the dealer doesn’t have the know how or want the responsibility to fix anything that goes wrong with them - especially battery or other issues- in my view it’s probably something that’s only going to get worse - the more complicated these cars become, the more the dealers just won’t take them as second hand items to sell or else will try to impose very short “guarantees” on them - it’s something the industry as a whole needs to address- we’re already seeing brand new cars heavily discounted from main dealers, undermining their customers confidence and previous buyers are rightly furious - until there’s a very strong second hand ev market and better equipped mechanics I think these sort of practices will continue
Depends how much dealers here are selling them for. OMSP of less than €40k = €0 VRT

Stunning car. Love the colour; love everything about it really. My target for next year when I off-load the Seal. Out of interest, would the linked car be under the threshold for zero import cost ?
Probably only worth €20K, 3month warranty isn’t very inspiring
High enough mileage but a big price drop recently.
Low mileage and just 4 years old
Will check battery with leaf spy

Probably not but she called out a fresh Mustang recently that was an attempted trade in.
Is any EV sought after according to Nadia?
That's a lame pony
Id say so. Priced too high. Not many people looking for them. Never been inside one myself.
Obviously needs to be inspected in person, looks like panel damage/bolt on repair other than the sill. Parts might not be easily got though, not many of these around.
Advertised prices, but these things are a dog to sell.
Definitely not a very sought after EV according to Nadia, retail prices seem to be around €25K+
Driver wing, driver door, nearside front and rear doors.
That looks about the jist of it tbh.
Ad says light damage, kavanaghs usually genuine. Looks light damage it's panel and doors.
tbf
Barely worth €15k in good condition 😂😂😂
Seriously why even post that😂😂
That damage doesn't look too bad....oh....
€15,900 - 2022 Mustang with side damage;

It's always a case of buyer beware no matter where you buy off, don't believe anything you're told unless you or someone you trust proves/checks it.
Anyone buying in the next while should also be on the lookout for undeclared flood damaged cars.
Also, if you're not in a major rush keep an eye on the Auctions, over 30 BEV cars went through Wilsons last week, mostly ID3/4, few Enyaqs. No major bargains as such, except perhaps a 211 Tesla model 3 with 164k km for €10.5K, 221 ID3 with 194k km for €8.5K, 191 Zoe R90 with 112k km for €3K. (Hammer prices)
And the 202 Kangoo ZE vans still are going through for around €2K.
Don't think this was posted here yet. 221 Taxi MG5 61.1kWh asking €10K.
DD was always shark infested from the outset and the better cars were on Carzone etc. In recent years however it’s really taken off at the expense of its competitors. Still shark infested but they’re more diluted now. Revenue & CCPC seem happy to turn a blind eye to all these part time traders. In turn, the main dealers are feeding them with stock as they provide a handy service in dealing with crap that’s traded in.
It's a cesspit recently. I reckon peak DD was 2015-2018.
But since Covid it seems everyone's a trader with something to hide.
Be great if DD allowed you look at the sellers history. It's really become much less convenient and trustworthy of a site to use. Cars with undervalued headline prices with "real price" in the description. Dealers selling as private individuals. Fine is there is a history and they sell a few cars a year, at least you know! Garbage autofill function for car specs. Staff not acting on fraudulent listings when reported.
I think there is space for a new DD site to take over.
Wasn’t aware the ad count was linked but it’s quite a few ads. If they happen to be mainly cars it still smells of a likely part time trader.
