Prima Facie sold out in about four minutes. I know it was the Gaiety but I was surprised with no queue or waiting room.
In the Meadows have a "register interest for 26" section on the page now. So there must be something in the works. Still nothing specific though.
pôt-pot in the Workman's Club 21 May followed by Luca Records & Decks, Waterford 22nd and Kino, Cork 23rd May.
Interesting comment from Keith Duffy regarding them not being offered an Irish stadium date. I think there's only one stadium date not claimed already isn't there?
He conveniently doesn't care because like many things he has brazenly claimed will happen, it has not happened
croke park has 3 gigs and Aviva has 5. Both have planning permission for 3 a year and can apply for additional dates from the council. Rolling Stones were pencilled in for croke park but decided not to tour due to health concerns.
It seems like promoters were spot on, doubt Boyzone could sell croke park or aviva out.
Nothing personal, @fanirish, and fair play for the dedication, it’s genuinely impressive how consistent you are posting. That said, you really don’t need to answer everything or pre-emptively gatekeep every thread like it’s an internal briefing.
Some of us actually use this forum to plan time off, travel, and tickets, so real information before the official announcements is genuinely useful. Your extended build-ups around Forbidden Fruit, In The Meadows and other shows, all “soon”, “expect”, “wouldn’t be surprised”, have mostly served as a masterclass in anticipation management rather than actual information for a show we may or may not go to.
If there’s something concrete, sharing it would be appreciated. Otherwise, speculation dressed up as certainty, delivered with your usual MCD-intern-style confidence, doesn’t add much beyond noise. We can manage a discussion without the cloak-and-dagger routine. This is a forum, not a dry run for a press release that hasn’t been written yet.
Massive blow for Belfast music scene if it happens…

Appreciate this comment, if I may speak on my behalf I echo many of these sentiments and would like to add that I would intend them personally, I find he is more rude and insufferable than he is genuinely informative
Class, I look forward to hearing about it
Papa Roach
They've had that for a good while now again. Hopefully there will be news soon alright though!
Would have liked an Erika de Casier solo gig. Lifetime was one of my favourite albums of 2025.
No interest in Robyn tbh.

Wishful thinking for In the Meadows:
Wolf Alice
The Cardigans
Rilo Kiley
It's part of the play to get events into the rebuilt Casement Park. They'll use every justification (and appeal for funds) to cover what a shambles the stadium project has been at every step.
Could never stand them, but I wasn't exactly their target market.
Definitely think they could sell out a stadium in Ireland.
The demand for concerts has gone crazy especially with FOMO driven social media and Ticketmaster monopoly. And the generation they appealed to have plenty of disposable income and kids to drag along.
Seems to be a trend of actors dabbling with music the last while.
Neil Young has cancelled his European tour.
2-6-26 I have decided to take a break and will not be touring Europe this time. Thanks to everyone who bought tickets. I’m sorry to let you down, but this is not the time. I do love playing LIVE and being with you and the Chrome Hearts. LOVE Neil be well
I'm really grateful I got to see him last year
Rilo Kiley would be a must buy
MCD seems to be teasing an announcement for a Joji concert, if there’s any fans of him here
in the meadows ain’t happening this year. That’s word on the street. Couldn’t book a suitable artist to headline.
Ah that's a pity but his health has to come first. Wonder will MCD get someone else to play the Cork gig slot at Musgrave Park?
Was worried it might be canceled when there's still no word on it when it was announced last time in November. That's a pity if that's official.
Grand but perhaps if you could all take your petty and endless griping elsewhere rather than clogging up the thread with neverending 'gotchas', that too would be appreciated.
It's not official, as we discussed earlier he has a penchant for talking out of his hole, it is only official when it is official otherwise is a probable guess.
I dont think it was selling well.
Sure Keifer Sutherland is playing the ambassador in May this year as well
Edit: Mistaken reply
Gutted,
I was not expecting him to be in Europe again this year, so did Dublin & Berlin last year, he was in great form for both, but lets be honest, how many tours has he left in him. He is 81 next November, but you wouldn’t think it at last summers gigs.
