Has anyone heard anything from the recent in take?
just want to update everyone on progress and so others can get a view on process lenght
December 2023 - Applied for job
February 2024- Had stage one exams online in Had results 2 weeks later, Placed over 100 on my OOM for my county
March 2025 - told they were in the 50s for OOM
Early October 2025 - that there were at 100 in OOM End October 2025 - Invited to stage 2 interview
Middle of November 2025 - Had my interview online
End of November 2025 - got my results and placed great in OOM and I am now awaiting invitation to submit for clearance was told i might not get that email for 2 weeks
Its been almost 2 years since I first applied so Im not expecting anything else to be much quicker :)

The wheels move fairly slowly! You could be waiting a few weeks for the clearance to come through. After that, it probably depends on the urgency for filling positions
Thanks my vetting has gone in and I just checked it and says complete and disclosed , so I suppose just a waiting game now applied dec 2023 so please god I hear something , suppose it won’t be untill the new year now , Amy word yet Irish twisted ?

Yeah, my clearance went in a few days later , says on it minimum 16weeks so i don’t expect to hear anything further until march

hi no nothing yet , on vetting application it says completed and disclosed but nothing yet ,unfortunately
how do you check the progress
I've heard that theres one person starting in January. One oerson started last month. 3 of the 4 units are well staffed. 1 unit fairly understaffed. There are people coming and going all the time though for various reasons.

Hi I checked process on the vetting link they sent me it’s like passport application online were you log in with your reference number and link and your date of birth
I was asking because I got nothing like that at all thats what I was expecting to get to show progress but I have nothing.

hi you should of got an email from Evetting when public jobs sent your vetting of and they have your link to check on progress , I’m still waiting even though vetting g is done and viewed since 11 th December ,
Hi. So I've nearly got a place as an Incident Creation Representative, Staffline are asking me for an Audiology report. Is this something I can get at one of those hearing aid selling shops like Hidden Hearing or Specsavers or do I need to book into a GP?
I got mine done in Specsavers, it's handy can book online then takes about 45 minutes
Edit to add it costs about 55 euro

Hi. I got offered a position in Dublin at the end of October, number 1 on oom, vetting cleared quite quickly, now still waiting on extra security clearance, it's been just over 4 months now, I'm getting quite frustrated. Anyone else still waiting on clearance?
yes I’m still waiting sent of Garda vetting December and I have heard nothing since either sorry

I got confirmation yesterday morning my extra security clearance is complete and all is in order, so just waiting on a start date now. This is for Dublin

I submitted my vetting stuff at the end October along with the hearing test results and haven't heard anything yet.

I submitted mine at the end of October aswell, so i've been waiting 7 months. You should hopefully hear something soon, I reckon they will have a batch of us start at the same time.

No, I'm in Galway so might be a different timescale. Hopefully I'll get some news soon.

My clearance came through. They are doing the reference checks now. Hopefully they don't take long and we get a start date soon or work could get awkward.
