Like how long would your back hair get if you let it grow.
Funny I never saw them before, you think they would be absolutely everywhere with that high a post count.
I obscured the username in case there is some rule against showing it.
Reminds me my vhi is going up 3% I think they said, yet again. And already paying for HSE through higher taxes than America, so not really sure which system is dearer. No such thing as a free lunch anywhere.
what was in the briefcase in pulp fiction
What was under the skirt in Basic Instinct.
A bit like the ending in Sopranos. What happened to Tony
That's probably their excuse to not get change. Most places that carry cash have a pen at the till. Swipe the note and it instantly tells you if it's fake or not.
Are Irish people really into tennis? It seems to be get a lot of time on Irish sports reports, yet I dont know a single person who plays it or watches it.
And most leisure centres have tennis courts but I never see anyone playing on them. The only people I know who do play aren't Irish, they always seem to be on the hunt for opponents.
How do you expect the unexpected.
Sleep with one eye open.
Same with NFL, always articles on the 42 after games and rarely any comments under the articles. Is it someone in the 42 who is a fan and wants to promote it here?? Maybe a bit of interest with the Irish guy doing well lately but the articles have been going on for years.
Well known as swingers clubs…
I love to swing my massive bat.
But you have to be careful as I was swinging it once in the park and got arrested.
Wimbledon used to be popular back in the day when it had characters that were household names. Couldn't name one now though
you’ve never heard of Djokovic??
Aw yeah. Couldn't spell it though.
Do hotels, bars and restaurants have a staff Christmas party? Does their establishment have to close for the night if they do?
Same question for firemen, nurses etc who can't all be off at the same time.
Hotels usually have something in January and often close to the public for the night, same with restaurants
We used to have nights out for Christmas or whatever the excuse was ;) nurse
But not paid for or subbed at all . You pay your own way . And anybody who is down to work that night , well they are down to work that night unless can swap with someone who doesn't want to go of same level and experience ie . has to be ok' d by management .
If you were rostered to work the following morning , well then you were on . Hard to get anyone to come in ito do that morning shift instead of you 😊
You could request the time off but it wouldn't be guaranteed at all.
Some places close completely in hospitality on a quiet Monday night in January and bring all the staff out. Others will open with a skeleton staff and the rule usually is last in the door has to work.
Often, local hotels would do a swap, we host your party (in Jan) and you host ours.. works out pretty well for all. Function room, DJ, Fingerfood covered, but paid bar.
Big sports club at Hillview, Clonmel - bit tennis participation of all ages, very popular (not me).
How so many people don’t get the “ asking for a friend “ joke and immediately start talking directly about themselves
There were schools in Ireland in the past where non GAA sports like soccer, rugby, cricket etc were banned or frowned upon.
How come probably every one of those schools had basketball hoops either in the playground or PE hall, and the playing of it was welcomed by even the most militant of 'Irish sports only' teachers.
They weren't seen as 'competition'?
There’s a house for sale in killiney at the moment
https://www.daft.ie/for-sale/house-mount-mapas-house-victoria-road-killiney-co-dublin/6140825?utm_source=copylink&utm_medium=share&utm_campaign=buy_pdp_share
When I see houses like this for sale, I wonder who is selling it, like where do they work or what is their means, for how they afforded it. I also wonder who will buy it. What is their heating and electricity bill. Have they a full time handyman/gardener? Are the current and new owners famous people we might know. How many viewings will they get from people who can genuinely afford it. Where are the current owners moving to?? Just general wondering about houses worth >€10m.
Another thing I sometimes wonder, big massive forest near me, bog land , rugged , probably over 2000 acres , often go for a walk through it, bring the kids. I wonder is there any bodies buried in it or anything that really shouldn’t, like drugs, or cash from crime.
I went to one of those schools in my youth. Was even written in the school rules that you could not play other sports outside school if the PE teachers thought it impacted on school GAA. As you say, funny enough basketball was ok to play.
Where did the Fairies get their pots of gold?
