Another nail in the casket. Pedestrianisation is great if there's something there to attract people.
I believe there's an either Government or EU policy to pedestrianise town centres, but a one size fits all never works for everyone.
Can't wait until all that traffic gets diverted up parnell Road and the gards or fire service can't get out of the stations...
It'll have some of the Wexford Road traffic also plus anybody coming or going from the Shannonside when the new bridge goes in around Arnolds Cross.

What estate do yall reckon this is? I'm hoping to move and wondering what are the "nicer" estates in town?
I'm a blow in myself so wouldn't know where to be looking but the Maderia oaks/woods has caught my eye as nice what's everyone's verdict?
The "shopping centre" is up and running.
more concrete 😫
Piece on Nationwide on Friday about the Enniscorthy Carol. Never heard of it,but apparently it's one of the oldest.
This is it.
Major extension to the Riverside. Twenty four bedrooms and a function room.
Badly needed for the hotel. Should be great once it's complete.
We're set to double our population apparently in the next twenty years. Might make some provision for a retail park, though I doubt it.
I couldn't see a timeframe where does it say 20 years?
The population of Enniscorthy is set to double in the next 10-20 years
Ten to twenty years apparently.
ItIt's literally in the first line, I'll walk myself out
Lovely...

Even lovelier
There's 2 pot holes down the Old Dublin Rd that would do serious damage to your car, the people working in the council on the old dublin must be missing them.
Might unblock a few drains as well. Some of them have been blocked for years.
No end of media coverage anyway. Maybe something will finally get done with the flood relief.
James Browne put it bluntly on South East radio that nothing will get done fast, so I'd expect another few floods
Fairly rich his blaming Met Eireann. It's the councils job to keep an eye on it. Dunno how Met Eireann are supposed to know river levels.
Poor devils on the Island Road have all their belongings fecked out on the path. Washing Machines,Fridges, couches all destroyed.
Don't know why they couldn't have built a barrier behind that road years ago. Wouldn't have inconvenienced any of the precious Mussels.
Insane that a senior official from the council called the gards on Slamey search and rescue for, over stepping a boundary..... wtf
Reported by the Council for rescuing people from their houses. Kinda the point of Slaney Search and Rescue I'd have thought.
Did the Council just want to leave them there?
Wonder what action the guards took if any.
The Prom is starting to flood again. Doesn't bode well.
Needs international attention for things to really happen. Then things happen overnight ! They even have midnight meetings ! Billions magically appear and disappear. Just like that.
It's got boots on the ground at least,Boxer Moran showed up to tell us it's a complex project and planning has to be followed- no kidding.
Looks like a replay.
