Hoping a New Thread may fix the posting issues.
No need to feel bad for him. He'll be on probably 200k a week. He'll survive.
He might be happy to go. Why not, it's a change of scenery. He's won everything at Liverpool. Good job, as Spurs aren't known for winning trophies.
It's a great time for him to go and pick up a decent contract. Good luck to him.
He probably wants regular football before the world cup. Club shouldn't stand in his way if he wants to go
Tsimksas is meant to be coming back. I love Robbo and thought he'd extend but after all the years he's given us being a top professional and excellent player and if he's the one pushing the move then I'd let him go.
It didn't take long for someone to put the blame on Slot
No I don't think it's financial I think it's also allowing him to leave and respecting that he wants to go play - Davies is injured so he'd be first choice there.
I can't see it getting this far if he didn't want to move, and wanting to go now and not as a free agent shows that he's not just looking for a sign on fee
The circumstances with Tsimikas and getting a fee make it easier for us to go along with it, but I don't believe there's any sort of pushing him out the door going on, if solely up to us we'd keep him until summer and loan Tsimi somewhere else
Deserves his move
Feel bad for Robertson, a very well liked player who is a clear leader, and gave everything for Liverpool over the years and achieved so much with and for us.
I know Slot believes Kerkez is the future, and he has begun to play better in the last game or two, but Robbo has been so important for so long and is still very reliable at only 31.
I can only imagine he would become a starter for Tottenham, otherwise what's the point? He would do very well for them I'm sure, and I'd regret his departure.
He played well when given the odd opportunity since Kerkez arrived. He should have continued in the first team imo, especially as Kerkez found his feet, and especially when Kerkez had been in awful form for much of the season.
Seems Slot will play who he thinks is the best team week in week out, almost regardless of form. He seems to think players should play their way out of bad form.
So ultimately I think Robbo wanting to leave is a result of Slot not managing players effectively, and communicating with them in the right way - Robertson can see the writing on the wall, and he's still too good and too young to write of his career and settle for being a non starter. I don't blame him at all and would wish him the best.
I really hope the club aren't weighing this up from a financial point of view, he's worth more than that
If it's what he wants, fair play. If not I'd be disgusted that it's even being discussed
If Tsimikas is coming back we've no need for 3x left backs
Not a crazy decision to get Robbo's wages off the books and get a fee for him instead of losing on a free
Since November he's played:
Sunderland 3/12 - 86 mins
Leeds 6/12 - 0 mins
CL - Inter 9/12 - 90 mins
Brighton 13/12 - 12 mins
Spurs 20/12 - 1 min
Wolves 27/12 - 0 mins
Leeds 1/1 - 66 mins
Fulham 4/1 - 0 mins
Arsenal 8/1 - 0 mins
FA Cup - Barnsley - 12/1 - 90 mins
Burnley - 17/1 - 12 mins
Marseille - 21/1 0 mins
Tsimikas is more than capable of covering the above type of backup role
Can't blame him.
I'd still prefer him to Kerkez!
This, 100%
I'll be absolutely gutted if he goes. But if he wants to go then he's definitely earned the right to have us respect that
Totally agree with you on this, but as you said if the player is pushing for it,there is not a whole lot the club can do. What a servant he has been, pity he won't get a proper send off
I hate this, Robbo is still important for us both in the changing room and on the pitch, he's played about as many minutes as Bradley this season.
If he really wants to leave before summer then I can't begrudge him with all he's done for the club, but I don't want him gone.
...
Looks like Robertson looked for the move, presume he just wants to play more with the World Cup coming up
Agree we don't have enough defenders so if no one comes in this month it is lunacy
Tsimi must be coming back if that's going through, even then that leaves us even weaker in defence.
I think Roma are going to terminate Tsimikas's loan so likely we're just freeing up the non-HG slot to take him as backup instead for the rest of the season
Unless this is a Jota related act of looking after Robertson or something, then there absolutely has to be somebody incoming.
We don't have enough defenders as it is. I wouldn't let him go until the summer.
Wow
Third time lucky!
I have a knack of going to 0-0 draws, saw quite a few of them around Houllier and Benitez's time. My first match in years was New Years Day against Leeds...
Thank you, hopefully I have better luck this time, only 2 games I have went to we have lost, wolves back in Hogsdons time and palace when Klopp was manager
Confirmed as that time. Going myself too
Wow that is tough
Yes apparently. 3 years ago it was reported that he'd only seen his son play on tv and had never been able to travel to see him live because of illness
RIP,i wonder was he sick for a while? Might explain Konate's form over the last couple of months, some supporters forget that players are actually human.
It's a confirmed Saturday KO at 3pm. Not on telly.
Hi, quick question going to the West Ham match 28th February when are the times for the game confirmed, just trying to book flights and not sure if the game will be moved to the Sunday or go ahead on the Saturday, it’s down as a 3pm game but we don’t play often at that time
Bayern are substantially bigger than any other club in Germany and this is reflected in the revenue numbers where Dortmund are almost 40% smaller. The relative gap between Liverpool, Arsenal, City and United in the PL is much tighter at just 6% and the pecking order will rotate over time. That doesn't happen in Germany. Bayern are permanently on top. This is one of the things which makes the PL so much more competitive than the Bundesliga.
Last year when we won it our revenue was only £3.4m higher from the PL. Even if we finish 4th we may still have more revenue than Arsenal as the CL progression will play a huge role along with our commercial deals. If our Adidas deal is worth more and we progress further than Arsenal in the CL we may be close to them, even if we finish 4th this season.

Bayern has had a commercial advantage over most clubs for decades now and that is why they dominate Germany. PSG revenues are not down to their fan following but their sponsorships from Qatar who are their owners, nothing more and nothing less.
