Hoping a New Thread may fix the posting issues.
Poor again.
I don’t want to come across as entitled but I would probably suggest that drawing at home to the second worst team in the league is not great.
we really haven’t. It’s Burnley. We utterly dominated them first half and just weren’t arsed second half.
Boos ringing out at Anfield says it all.
**** season
Gonna have to win a trophy to fix it
we can’t just keep going on like this. Yes better display but to pedestrian.
Time to bring in Alonso, give him the rest of the season to get up to speed and go for it next season.
Still undefeated and a massive 6 points from our last 12 available! Dreamland!
So glad we won't do anything as unbecoming as sacking the manager. Imagine t gossip!?
drawing at home to three promoted teams has that ever happened to us at home before.
The issue I have with today's performance is that as soon as Burnley pressed us a little and showed some intent, they started creating chances.
Suppose that's Hughes fault?
Dreadful 2nd half. Least impressive unbeaten run I can remember. The fixtures are about to get far tougher now.
Are we now resorting to looking at bright spots in drawing 1-1 with Burnley . We still only scoring 1 goal , conceded again and Szobo too casual with the Peno similar to his mistake vs Barnsley it’s not good enough . Sorry but that result is the worst of the lot now od this “unbeaten run” . We needed a performance and a result today against probably the worst team in the league in 2nd last with -19GD.
We never came out after the break at all. Shambles of a performance. Got several breaks, a soft penalty, and thought we could just stroll through the lady hour.
Arne will spin this as another game onto some unbeaten run, but this was another woeful performance, the latest in a series, were going nowhere with this management regime.
Watching Liverpool is like being forced to watch the same terrible movie every week. Now we just have to listen to Slot complain that Burnley didn't play in a way that would have suited us.
The crowd clearly hate how we play. Could see that in the first half when Szoboslai made it his mission to slow down any potential quick counter attack
A disgusting result.
We've played 4 of the bottom 5 at home and have 5 points from 12, really not good enough
Mod Edit
Warning issued.
These are the results that may end up costing Slot his job.
It's illegal to sack a manager mid-season I believe.
In other news, Johnny Heitinga might be out of a job shortly.
I’ve always being give slot the season but was doubting more and more. Today for me first time it was evident this talented group of players are not playing for him and it’s clear as day a different manager could surely extract more from this team. United and Chelsea on our heels now with new managers. United in particular look like we they push on now with Amorim gone . Hate to say to it but that result 2nd half was completely unacceptable
Missed a ''Salah'' moment today.
Sooner he's back the bitter
Turgid football again
at home to Burnley a guaranteed to be relegated team
If slot says anything about being unlucky I will scream
you should have held fire on this till after the third draw at Anfield against a promoted side.
Second half against PSV, second half against Forrest, every minute against Brentford, getting battered second half by 10 man Newcastle (lovely finale, but awful half of ball), even limping out against Plymouth… those all hit me much harder as atrocious performances where we were second best as the game hit crunch time. Today is infuriating, but we were too dominant and created too many chances to call it our worst second half of the season.
Worst unbeaten run in the clubs history?
Because, as a team, the mindset isn't to be aggressive when that happens. It's to retreat because it's the safe thing to do.
That hasn't been how we defend in a decade.
They're slow, they're pedestrian, they are happy to sit with pointless possession until they have to chase a game. There is precisely zero risk in how we play until one of Wirtz or Ekitike try something individual in a random moment.
This is just not how I like a team I support playing football. It's boring and it's crap.
…delete…
If you need 'moments' to beat Burnley, you're fúcked.
