Hi all. Did the phase one tests in inchicore yesterday morning and got an email in afternoon to say Id got through to phase 2 . Tests are next week,not too worried about the tests themselves but am worried about the pre-interview form,is there many questions in this ? And what sort of questions? Thanks

The answers you give on the 16pf are analysed, and if deemed suitable, you are then invited to an interview which will be based on the answers you provide in the 16pf, it is a very indepth interview, so those of you who do get the call for an interview, be prepared.
I got past the 16pf and it's interview, earlier this year, then the line manager interview and medical in March this year, I received an email looking for my CIE staff number earlier, ( I work for another group under the CIE dome) then getting restless, I contacted HR in mid November, and the reply was that my application is still live, and thanks for my continued patience, it is indeed a long road.
Hopefully you hear something soon, bit mad that the keep testing and interviewing when they have people waiting nearly a year.
I've gotten an invite for the 16PF interview!
Any tips? I know a lot of it is based on the answers given in the questionnaire and the pre-interview form but I'm drawing a blur as to what I put down or what was asked.

I have and interview for Station Operative, 12/01. The pre-interview form is the way to prepare yourself for interview.
I just finished the 16PF interview. Was brutal tbh, a lot of questions about what you feel and why do you think you feel that way in regards to your personality.
Gave it my best shot anyway, be surprised if I make it to the final round of interviews. Had to make up an example that I wasn't fully prepared to go over.

There are 3 people interviewing.
They go through the questions in the pre-form, leaving you free to use your submitted answers, but they say you can provide a new one. I suggest having a second example for each question might sound positive.
Some extra questions:
What is it like to work under pressure?
What does it mean to you to work surrounded by safety rules?
Whom do you protect by working in an environment surrounded by risks?

Hi mate, where did you hear about Nationwide on the 9th of Feb? Sadly didnt get past the second interview stage last year and debating weather to try again. But I have since heard that they were to hard on candidates at the interview stage last year and the required number wasnt met as a lot didnt get pass the second interview. So seemly have relaxed a bit. As it was always the case the exams were the hardest part. So this has me thinking to go again.
As my interview went on for an hour and 50 mins when it was only meant to be 50 mins.

Definitely go for it again. The previous experience will stand to you, and you can work on the interview part.
To be honest mate I dont think I would of answered the questions any different! I have 2 mates who work on the tracks one is a trainer of the machines that move the tracks and I told them the questions and answers I gave and both taught I 100% had it and were shocked that I didnt pass. Hence why I actually believe the above, who I heard from a toldly different source in Irish Rail.

I went a second time and this time passed all the tests, interviews and medical, but still waiting on that elusive call for regional class🤪 so definitely try again if that's what you want.
Judging by the number of trainees passing through the school at the moment, I don't think they had any trouble meeting the quota.
If your interview goes over the alloted time, it usually means you were borderline & they were giving you an extra opportunity to prove yourself - maybe hit a few keywords in the interview to swing it your way.
Looks like line manager interviews are being rolled out for Feb, got one myself.

For the current recruitment? Usually it's Online assessment, in-person assessment, HR interview, medical and then Line Manager interview
