DRLs are to make an approaching vehicle more visible. You rarely get a car reversing towards you at 100 to 120 kmh plus.
Having rear daylight running lights on might reduce the contrast with brake lights.

This is a depressing one so apologies if it’s too dark but what is it (or will it) like knowing you have only hours/days to live.
In my job (financial adviser - bet you wouldn’t have guessed that) I’ve seen clients days from death and their faces haunt me. They look absolutely shocked , like this is not happening shocked.
I think I’d rather go quickly without any clue.
That thought has always freaked me out knowing that when the curtains close, they'll never open again. It just doesn't seem like it can be possible.
It isn't helped either if you've watched someonr die a slow painful death. I couldn't sleep for months after that because every time I dosed off, I jump out of my sleep. I don't know if was guilt that I could wake up the next day, or if I felt that I could understand the feeling of knowing you were not waking up ever again.
Probably won't ever be a problem for me because I don't think I'll be living a long life anyway. I'm a worrier and it'll probably be a heart attack that'll take me out. Most likely over something minuscule like I can't find my favourite spoon and my day won't feel right if my coffee is made with anything else 🙄

See also "Yehudi lights" - a form of active camouflage using counter-illumination. In WWII anti-submarine aircraft used them so they wouldn't stand out against a bright sky. And if you are facing the sun DLR's do a good job of hiding cars coming over the crest of a hill.
Headlights should be limited to the lumens of the old 50 Watt incandescent ones.
DLR's and increased brightness of cars means that other road users are literally left in the shade and are far less visible. Sidelights should be enough in urban areas where there's adequate street lighting and lower speed limits.
We should also go back to days when cars had visible colours instead of greyscale urban camo.

I've similar feelings tbh. One of the things that's always struck me in Ireland, is that for all of our tradition and ritual around death and funerals.
Many of us do precious little to prepare for it when we are hale and healthy. The lack of financial planning, let alone estate planning for lots of folk is crazy. Even just practical things such as a will, a list of accounts, ensuring that nomination forms for death in service benefits are filled out and so on.
And even as important these days IMHO, digital legacy. Not just your Facebook and social media accounts, but email addresses, smart home and digital devices and all the other password protected tech and accounts that have become part of our everyday lives and that are vital to our family too. All stand to be lost if/when someone kicks the bucket without a succession plan or documentation.
How many innocent people are in prison.

much more than 50kW - i've a hyundai kona, which is not going to be particularly powerful, and it has a 150kW motor.
a renault zoe, a small car, has come with different spec motors over the years, but the least powerful that has been available was 66kW, which was phased out in 2019.
