Some mad videos emerging from Bondi beach in Sydney. Gun man opened fire. Seems to have been arrested from the videos I've seen, looks like multiple casualties.

Very true. Until people forget about violence and talk to each other it will be round and round again and again.
calm down there… the Palestinians boys playing soccer was in 2001. Gaza was not a war zone then.
I was counterpointing your argument, which I agree with, that people enjoying themselves on a beach should expect not to be murdered.
You jumping-the-gun response is of course not surprising either.
You are something…posting about the attack at Brown and linking it somehow to Australia, yet when someone else make a point you are quick to run back to "keep it to Australia". Wish you would follow your own advice.
There isn't much more to add, denying that the actions of the government of Israel, who has weaponised the charge of antisemitism for anyone not agreeing with their actions, in Gaza is having no effect on people of the Jewish faith outside of Israel is denying reality. It is not like people who hate "others" need much more motivation to act on their hate.
It's not just Jews that have been targeted by Muslim extremism. A lot of Hindus were forced from their home in Kashmir in the 90s and their lands was stolen by Muslim invaders.
Israel have commited an untold amount of war crimes in Gaza, mass killins, forced starvation, deliberate targeting of civilians, around 70,000 people have been killed in Gaza and that's being conservative, around 18,000 of them children…how many were Hamas members? how many of those people were involved in the October attacks? is that okay because its a "war"
Interesting development here..
No, I mentioned Brown way back at the start thinking it wasn't connected, as the post itself will show if you look at it. Because I was annoyed at the BBC seeming to link them, as though mass shootings are just a thing around the world now.
Then much later on someone else said that the shooting at Brown had targeted a Jewish teacher's class. I looked for information about that and posted what I found (not a lot - I suspect they aren't sure if they've got the right person, as they're still not releasing the name even many hours later) - but I didn't make that claim/link.
I see he's just been named as Benjamin Erickson, according to NBC news:
Possibly completely unrelated, but Haaretz reported this earlier today:
"An Israeli source told Haaretz that in the last few weeks, Israel received information indicating plans to carry out attacks against Australia's Jewish community, with Iran most likely to be responsible for the attack."
Don't know if Israel passed this intelligence onto the Australians.
I really wouldn't read anything into that. Same name got a spike in Ireland prior to the attack too.
You made some pretty specific claims and didn't provide any sources after making them... Eg the claim of Allahu Akbar being shouted.
The two things in a way go hand in hand, especially when some people are acting and behaving like social justice warriors as a facade to disguise their hatred of Jews. The October 7th 2023 attack by Hamas was the biggest massacre of the Jewish people since the Holocaust. The world at large or at least the left and far left in particular, resonded to this by increasing and escalating their hatred of Jews. Subsequent events around the world since that day, the behaviour of certain people, and this incident of deliberate targetting and killing of Jews illustrate quite clearly why the state of Israel needs to exist more than ever.
The Palestinians were handed control of Gaza by Israel in 2005. The local populance there elected Hamas into government and turned the place into an Islamic terrorist run shithole, and used the enclave as a terrorist base to launch attacks on Israel from culminating in the October 7th attack. So based on all this why should Israel surrender control of Judea and Samaria/West Bank and allow this entire cycle to repeat itself all over again?
What are you implying with this "interesting development" tweet? The name is common.
Weren't you the clown saying that ordinary Jewish people should expect things to happen to them because of what the government and army of Israel is doing?

So based on all this why should Israel surrender control of Judea and Samaria/West Bank and allow this entire cycle to repeat itself all over again?
Because Israel retaining control is illegal in International Law.
Nigel Farage also only ever asks questions and wonders if things are connected, like the failing NHS and people claiming asylum. If others then try to burn down a hotel with those asylum seekers then he only asked the question, he did not link those things. Do you honestly think we are stupid on here to not see what that post was about?
You also posted about a massacre in Khaybar, and yet all I can find is 93 people dying from force of 14 000 against an opposing force of 1 600. So what were you trying to do there without offering links? You said that is where it started, with that massacre yet I cannot find anything about a massacre of Jews and where it all started. How that links to Australia is a mystery to me.
Israel maintaining control of Judea is illegal. The clue is in the original name of the area.
Different timezones. When it happened it was still the 13th in most of the world.
You need links to know about the Battle of Khaybar? Really? Here you go then
I'm sure you don't really imagine that drawing a parallel with events from ancient history is anything like linking the NHS and immigration or asylum seekers.
Cos nobody could actually be that stupid.
I see a lot of US posters claiming that this event showed that the removal of guns from Australians was an error as they could have shot back if citizens were armed.
Except the homicide rate by firearms is 3000 % higher in the US than in Oz
"A lot"? I dont recall one single post saying that
Indeed all those are evil. But we do not see anybody here saying otherwise.
Nor are there representatives of those countries continually trying to legitimize those killings and torture in Western or other countries and media around the world .
However Israel , who are carrying out similar/ worse atrocities are playing the victim card to other countries and trying to get support to enable its continuing genocide by accusing anyone who points out those atrocities as Antisemitic .
There is no support for terrorists who kill innocent people as in Bondi and it is abhorrent .
Likewise it is not antisemitic to condemn the actions of a murderous genocidal government which is Netanyahu's Israeli government .
Nor is it the function of any neutral country to stand by and allow atrocities to go on undenounced . We did that before in Dev's time and I think most Irish people would not feel proud of that era in our history .
To conflate the two issues here here as you and others are , is doing a disservice to Jewish people worldwide who do not support Bibi N's murderous regime , and just want the right to live in peace and practice their faith .
All indiscriminate killing of innocents and civilians is wrong and barbarous .
All of those acts in Gaza are horrific. The Israeli government actions are war crimes.
How is any of that really connected to what happened in Bondi. How many of the people targeted were involved with actions in Gaza. I think zero is a fair estimate. What about the non-Jewish people on beach that were targeted too. Kids enjoying the sun and having to flee from two lunatics with guns.
Painting this attack as anything other than a horrific attack on innocent civilians is disgraceful.
Seems like a lot of people are jumping the gun. This poor guy didn't do anything wrong.
The Muslim hero who saved many lives today at Bondi Beach is Ahmed Al-Ahmed.
Not much praise for him here it seems. I wonder why ?
It doesn't fit the narrative that some people are trying to push.
Whoever he is, he's a hero - unlike the absolute knobs who invaded the crime scene after the two perpetrators were downed, after (what looks like) a shootout with police, and it was safe for them to perform their "heroics". They were lucky not to be shot themselves.
You’re just projecting again. He was discussed earlier. Yes it was amazing what he did and I and others already said so at lunchtime.
This is is way outside the norm for Australia is it? Once I hear “mass shooting” I normally immediately think America. Never heard the likes of that in Australia mentioned before.
Because his heroism would be unecessary if his co-religionists had been kept out of the country in first place.

They've a steady amount over the decades but this is most substantial case.
So you're basically trying to downplay the fact he intervened because of his religion? The man got shot twice and this is what your first thought is?
Wow.
