There wasn't a genocide because if Israel had wanted to commit genocide they could have bombed Gaza from the air until nothing was left. Instead they had a ceasefire to vaccinate Gazan children after a polio outbreak. And the baby milk that wasn't delivered has turned up in Hamas tunnels. Oh, and lost over 1000 of their own personnel, many of them young, sometimes teenage, conscripts. Air attacks would have prevented the VAST majority of those losses, but of course would actually have killed far more Gazan civilians. Yet Israel never gets any credit for that. Everything they do has the worst possible motivation attributed to it.
And if you think it was a genocide, isn't Egypt complicit? They could have opened their border any time. Yet nobody seems outraged at that, and nobody attributes evil motivation to the Egyptians. Very odd.
Seems as though when someone else does the same as Israel, that's grand. Because reasons. But when Israel does it, they're evil.

Which is funny considering that the Irish media still hasn't reported that Amnesty International has said that the Oct 7th attack was a crime against humanity. Nopt sure I'm the one who's poorly informed here.
And I'm not defending the invasion of Iraq which most people agree was an illegal war. I'm talking about the deaths of civilians in war. leave Iraq out of it if you like, and just consider Afghanistan, which was legal. Plenty of weddings bombed there too.

Oh my. You need to do some independent reading on the Allied War on Terror. An endless war because of the vague "enemy" i.e. terror. Remember that most of the terrorists on the planes in 9/11 were Saudi but they never got invaded/attacked. Wake up. 15 out of the 19 hijackers were Saudi...hmmm.
The "allies" also killed way too many Iraqi civilians and committed plenty of war crimes (e.g in prisons like Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo). But the allies are the good guys so won't get prosecuted. And they did find the WMDs...oh wait. Two wrongs etc. We see what happens when ICC charge the "allies" with war crimes.
Do some reading and being honest with yourself on all of this. You are falling for all the selective reporting. All of it.

None of the above means that people who oppose Israel's actions in Palestine are the cause of it though which a fair few posters are implying.
Some are not implying, they are downright asserting that the people who go on anti-genocide marches in general and those who hold 'Globalize the Infidada' placards are responsible for the massacre in Australia today. It is an utterly disgraceful smear to push.
It doesn't justify war crimes, and nothing "justifies" killing innocent children. But Israel was entitled to invade Gaza to remove Hamas - in fact it's hard to see how they could have continued on as things were after Oct 7 - and that couldn't be done without killing some civilians. No invasion ever does. Look how many children were killed by the Allied forces in Afghanistan and Iraq. And Hamas has long had a strategy of deliberately using civilians to protect its soldiers, so unless you think that Israel should have admitted defeat rather than risk the lives of Palestinians (personally I don't though it seems a lot of people in Ireland do) then deaths were inevitable, and not necessarily war crimes.

Deaths of civilians in a war are inevitable. To refuse to defend yourself from terrorists who have attacked your civilians because the terrorists have put their own children on the frontline is madness.
Where has anyone said anything like this? An anti semitic attack being labeled as such is fine. I do tend to prefer for the police investigation to take place rather than rampant speculation. Such speculation has happened on threads and gotten things wrong in the past. I do think the motivations were most likely anti semitic.

Do you actually know what a war crime is? Israel's response was literally daily war crimes. Every single day, multiple war crimes e.g. collective punishment. I have never seen a poster that was so dishonest with themselves - that's some mind bend you got going in that single post. It's like you are trying to fool yourself for some weird reason. I have seen it all now. I was going to ask you how Israeli "war crimes should be punished" but I severely doubt your honesty to answer.
Anyway off topic. I detest all violence and this attack was disgusting. I hope they catch or kill all the terrorist cowards.
