Creating a new discussion as I didn't see one specifically for this vacancy.
Temporary Clerical Officer in the Civil and Public Service Nationwide 2026
Closing Date: 3pm on Thursday 13th November 2025
Below are the relevant docs.
I got top 15 in Offaly. Will I ever be called in the short term?
109 in Cork is that bad? I would hate to be on a panel for 9 months or to not get anywhere
56 in Waterford. Scores were in top third category but that number seems high to me.
Would appreciate if people start posting when they get called for interview. The cut off date of October 31st 2026 for positions makes me nervous I'll be cutting it close this year but hopefully the European Presidency makes demand higher.
hi folks , the Merit number you get , is that nationwide or by county ? Google says nationwide but I thought it was within your county , thank you 🙏
It's within your county. Don't trust Google ai results when it comes to this stuff. It's too local
25 in Galway here
sound thank you 🙏
I’ll be retirement age again my number comes up 🤣
Is it January they start the next stage of interviewing?
I got 98 in my area. I guess that's a non runner? Anyone have that high a number last year?
Depends what county , Dublin will take hundreds of TCOs . I’m in Limerick and people well up to 200 called last year .
Thanks. West of Ireland based.
7 in Mayo. I'm hoping that's good?
Yup you'll be called in the first three months of next year
51 in Longford, in top third category but that number seems high
Do I have a chance of being called? Thanks a million! 🙏
I'm 33 in Cork. When am I likely to be called for an interview?
I didn’t get any results yet die’s that mean my application was unsuccessful
I would be pretty sure they would be emailing either with a pass or fail. Maybe email them with your details to find out what happened. Also, do check your junk mail folder, my result was there, its never gone to junk mail before
I got 1500s OOM in Dublin. Yikes.
Got 4 in Kerry. Anyone have any sites or anything to help prepare? I'm good with exams, tests and actual work but interviews I just cant cope on the day. Want to go ham with this years one.
The interview is 5/10 questions over twenty minutes and all are variety of "Tell me a time you X/Y/Z." Just reply with STAR method and it'll be all good, they just want to make sure you're alive
Anybody get called for Offaly yet?
Just wondering if anyone has heard about the interview stage. Im top 5 in another midland county and have heard nothing yet.
I actually just had my interview today. I was under 50 OOM for Dublin, so I'd imagine at least that many were called, probably plenty more. Only got invited for the interview on Tuesday, so not a lot of advanced notice.
My partner's niece has an interview for Cork today, she was in the top 10. Not sure if she was chosen due to an unusual set of locations put down or how it works, but she's absolutely qualified for this.
Is the 2025 panel still open? I've heard from public jobs about documents and vetting but assumed the 2025 campaign had closed.
It’s closed. Got that confirmed from HR in one Dept. I got as far as clearance stage in October then heard nothing since.
Did anyone with order of merit over 100 hear anything yet?
I am in the 120s for Dublin but have not heard anything yet
