I was at a gig once, can't remember who, when the singer said something slightly mocking about him. After the next song sometime threw a note onto the stage, the singer picked it up and read it into the mic: "don't take the piss out of Big Jeff, he's a Bristol legend", crowd go wild! They're very polite in Bristol 🤣

He was in the thick of the moshing at Idles , Malahide Castle (where they supported LCD Soundsystem) last year, and also at their Thursday night Olympia gig. Was chatting to him afterwards during Their DJ Set in Workman’s. Seems like a nice guy.
He barged through/past us last week on way to moshing at MBV in the Point. Have also seen him at a few other gigs, always in the middle of things.
