You should set it up using the same settings, assuming the same Ah cells are used. You then connect them with a comms cable and whatever way you happen to be connecting them to the inverter. No DIP settings for these. The second battery will be slave.
All arrived perfect showing 314ah capacity
Here is another picture of it packaged
Charged to 61% all cells showing only 1mv difference
That’s great from ordered to delivered how many days was it?
Sound.
Your videos were a massive help last time.
I got the same cells as the first pack.
I have footage of connecting/installing two V4s but haven't edited it yet. It's the same as the V3s tbh
You should do a general update of your setup for us.
(If you haven't already).
Do you know the name of the seplos app actually?
I'll have to refresh my memory before the other pack lands.
It was 12 days from order to delivery it includes all the battery connection cables 485 can as well.
BMS Studio. Use the SW on your Laptop or PC. I have a video on that too.
What inverter do you have, I have a Solis which they say on their WhatsApp is compatible.
The code will be valid again from Monday
Anyone else with the fogstar v4 ?
I'm 90% sure I configured it from my phone when I set mine up.
I made an rj45 - USB cable (I think I bought an adapter too) but I couldn't get either to connect.
I was following ghosts videos.
My memory is bad........
Was just going to press the button, glad I checked here first, not working as of lunchtime. I assume it goes in the "Gift Card" box as no other text box.
Going with prebuilt and getting one for a friend
Has anyone used Border Parcel Motel in Belcoo for this? And I assume the pallets would fit on a 5x3 trailer.
Send them a message, or give them a call. If their Black Friday deal is over, then the code should be back working.
ahh maybe you can't use it with the current 20% off
This might help as well
Thanks all, just ordered for myself and neighbour- but missed the original deal while I was confirming the parcel motel could accept them :-( but ghost's code is working again
Looking at the size, I'd probably be able to get both into the back of the sorrento with the seats down, even if I have to unbox one of them.
A look at the only full months data I have shows that even in winter, there's a mismatch between generation and load usage.

*At the moment the inverter shuts down at night when there's no generation, load at night is typically >50kWhr/night due to two elec cars and heatpump
I've been reading this discussion with a lot of interest as I am looking to upgrade my battery pack. Currently have a 5kWh Dyness, 8.36 kwp solar array and a 6Kw inverter but use in the region of 12Mw per annum. I wouldn't be confident in my ability to DIY a pack so have been looking at the prebuilt batteries that have been recommended here. I also had a look at some of the companies from Mad_Mike's earlier AI generated summary about deligreencs.com when I stumbled on this battery (51.2V 628Ah 32kWh Solar Battery Pack - LiFePO4 Plug & Play ) from Docan and am considering purchasing it.
Has anyone any experience of dealing with Docan?
Is there anything glaring that I should be aware of with the battery or with the company itself?
Would this battery work with the Dyness or would I be replacing it?
They have 16kWh and 48kWh offerings as well (51.2V 942Ah 48kWh 50kWh Solar Battery Pack - LiFePO4 Plug & Play) but it would be overkill for my situation.
Any input/thoughts/comments appreciated.
Hi guys,
I got an email from Fogstar today about a sale they have. It looks like there are Irish stores now selling some Fogstar batteries. It might help some people here when ordering instead of having to go up north.

LOL "It might help some people here when ordering instead of having to go up north."
Solarboss nearly twice the price.
Good 'Ole Paddy Tax.
You can add to, or replace the Dyness batteries. I would replace, but some people link them to DIY packs just fine.
Honestly, it's not very hard doing it DIY, especially with all the help out there. I have a whole series on YT on how to build the batteries (Seplos V3 and the Fogstar V4 version) and how to connect to an inverter, specifically the Solis inverter.
I just posted a new video on connecting two V4 batteries to the inverter, using inline fuses as busbars. There are links in the description on how to assemble the battery packs.
Why use Busbars and Fuses ? , Can they not connected directly to Inverter in a daisy chain ? Wil you be adding a rectifier to that setup ?

I've found that the daisy-chain method results in the battery closer to the inverter running down more quickly. I tried this method in my 3 battery V3 setup and my current hybrid chain-busbar setup to a lesser extent.
Wil you be adding a rectifier to that setup ?
No. 2 reasons.
Would it not be better to have a fuse dedicated to each battery?
Have a look at this post ….also look at the posts just before it.
This way I was able to get a fuse on all 4 battery wires at reasonable cost.
I was not comfortable relying only on the each battery's in-built breaker. However some batteries do have a built in fuse along with the breaker (mine doesn't)
I have got a Huawei LUNA2000 system. I am looking at the following add on battery from this website. Anyone used this website?
https://panpower.eu/de/akumulatory-/6730-9364-huawei-luna2000-5-e0-5-kwh-batteriemodul.html Is this the correct battery for the original system? Whats involved in getting someone to fit it?
I assume that question is for me.
The V4 kits have built in breakers, as seen in the video. The inline fuses for the 2 positives and 2 negatives are just cheap (useful) busbars. I already had the equipment, so it made sense to us it and was educational.
At my own property, I have 3 V3 kits which don't have internal breakers. I installed external breakers for each kit and an in-line fuse on the positive line near the inverter.
Ordered 3rd December arrived today, back broken from getting it across the gravel drive. Will wait until the brothers in law are over to get her up the stairs. €1400 including free shipping from Poland.
What size is it ?
Anyone heard anything from the fogstar black Friday orders ?
Also, what weight is it?
