Thanks for the advice wassie. Just ordered the Grade A smokeless ovoids for delivery in Mayo. £ 385.00 and happy with that. They'll bring it to where I want it too. Thanks everyone for the help.
Is this the best stove coal? Can you advise
Fair play to The Dandys who when to the trouble to call me today about that courier.
tbh I can't really say what the advantage of the Red over the Green is? We've had the Red bags for 2 years now and they are fine. Nothing fantastic about them but definitely nothing to complain about either.
Im burning the green and it is very good.
Lads, I don't use the fire that often, so only need a few bags of coal. Where is good for a small order like that?
Don't have the need or space for a tonne delivery etc
can you manage a half TN ?
If it’s only a half dozen bags look out for Black Friday deals with the likes of co op or McMahon builders providers, th latter do a great deal last year collection only
personal on my boiler stove I use anthracite direct from the mine in Wales.

CB Fuels Ballinamallard have proved excellent for us this year and last year. Sound delivery lads who'll drop a professionally wrapped pallet exactly where you want it and who call when they're close. Usually deliver in 2-4 days.

I have both the green and the red which I burn in my Esse IronHeart (has an oven). The dial on the oven goes about 10% hotter when I use the red bags compared to the green. I find both very good but using the red bags means less ash and less hauling for the same amount of heat.
Any good deals here or are they fake sales prices :

Chat GPT say it legal website and the company behind website can be trusted
From what I’ve read the poster is asking if the prices pre sale are inflated which results in fake discounts, it doesn’t look like they’re suggesting the company is fake, the company is legit and well known
You can buy the same Homefire Supetherm smokeless coal from Homeland Agri all over the west for 13.99 per 20kg non special offer. Similar price difference on the 40kg. Don't know about the rest of the country but Homeland Agri are rarely the cheapest with anything.
Hi I am very sorry I missed understand is post.
taken from their Facebook page
what’s the difference between wrays smokeless grade a ovoids and the green bags they sell? I’ve used the green bags before and they are decent. Looking to order a tone over the weekend, but trying to keep costs down.
error
Several people have mentioned that you can sometimes get a better price if you pay by bank transfer rather than ordering directly through the website. Customers usually phone them or contact them through their Facebook page.
The product information
Smokeless Ovoid • Anthracite and house coal: approximately 10–40% • Petroleum coke: approximately 60–90% • Organic plant-based binder: remainder
Eco Glow (Green Bags) • Anthracite: approximately 25–40% • Petroleum coke: approximately 60–75% • Organic binder: remainder
In my opinion, the Smokeless Ovoids will burn more quickly because they contain house coal and a higher percentage of petroleum coke, but they should also leave behind less ash.
Pay by credit card over the phone. No need for bank transfer.
For reference, I used to get about 7-8 hrs burn time from a bucket of coal on my open fire. With Ecoglow I get 11-12 hrs. Probably slightly more ash, but it burns out completely, where as the polish coal used to leave charcoal lumps.
I bought the red, thank you for your reply
Thank you. Have contacted them over Facebook and was speaking to Lisa and there’s no budgeting in the price . I’ll order the green bags at the weekend I think.
You should call. Easier to haggle on the phone than online.
I ordered the Grade A smokeless ovoids from Lisa, delivered to the West @ £385. 50 x 20kg bags wrapped. That's the best they would do it for.
