I haven't seen a thread for this car.
I reckon will sell like hot cakes in all markets.
I wonder what sort of money it will be here?
Any spec difference to the PCD one for €75 compared to that?
Yeah at a full charge I got max 540KM. I only have to charge it once a week in work to top it back up to 80%.
15k per annum for business seems on the low side for mileage I would have thought
It's why i went for the Macan. I was looking at an Audi Q5 and RR Evoque and the costs were similar so figured I'd might as well go for a Porsche.
I was looking at a black Evoque in Joe Duffy at 85k and couldn't come to an agreement on it with them. Wouldn't budge on the price. That car is still sitting there today for 75k
Doubt it's aimed at reps tbh
You dodged a bullet on the evoque!
Anyone know what the crack is with the likes of that lease offer on an EV BIK wise?
No but at an executive level they spend a lot of time meeting clients and are in the office alot.
I travel from Meath to Dublin once/ twice a week and other than that car is parked up bar small trips to shops etc and I'm going to go past my 15km allowance on PCP.
Tell me about it. I traded in one and it was a lemon. I loved the car but had two major faults with it. The only reason I would have considered another was that they now offer a 5 year warranty.
No difference between lease and outright purchase for BIK calculation. Monthly BIK is calculated on a combination of emissions band/new price of vehicle/mileage.
Depends our exec team does a lot of foreign travel but none of us are doing much local driving!
85k for an evoque now, that is mental assume it was top of the line?
It was an R Dynamic, here's the link
Won't let me link it here for some reason
crazy to think an evoque would be same price as the Porsche though.
I am a private buyer so no tax benefit for me with EV. I always wanted to own a Porsche and it seems like a cheap way into a virtually new one.
Was out and about yesterday with the wife and decided to have a wander into Porshe Dublin for a look at the Macan EV out of curiosity.
Haven’t spotted a single one on the road all year.
Our BMW i4 is out of pcp in 15 months so not sure if will pay balance and keep it or trade for something else…Will decide closer the time.
Fairly loaded Neusse Klass ix3 looks interesting so popped into BMW and didn’t have one on show yet.
To say we were unimpressed with the Macan would be an understatement.
The one on display was 94k with very few options added.
Our overriding feeling was that it felt cheap and non premium for 94k…steering wheel, dash trim, center console. The amount of cheap looking black plastic trim outside around the wheels, bottom of car, side blades (can option them at least in body color).
Basically, certain level of things you would expect to not feel/look cheap at 94k and would not be happy to pay extra for to upgrade.
Very curious what the iX3 will be like in terms of quality and looks wise in the flesh. It’s definitely gonna have the advantage on range / performance level at the base level anyway.
I have only seen a couple on the road but thought they looked well. I thought they would be a lot more common on the road given the prestigious badge and not crazy base price.
There seem to be a lot of pre registered/demos for sale constantly.
Like every Porsche though it appears the equipment is poor and you need to add a lot of options to make it look and feel expensive and to have items other cars come with for nothing.
I’ll be surprised if coming up to the end of your pcp you have any equity based on what I have heard of trade in values offered on them though.
Yeah I’ll be buying the i4 out if equity left and trade in offers are poor. Not too pushed either way tbh at moment. Really like the i4 which helps I suppose.
I see the Cayenne EV is available for config on Porsche Irish site now.
Base price of €113k, €25k more than base Macan EV.
Looking at UK config and it starts at £83k which comes in at €95k.
Allow extra 3% vat here compared to UK rate and 7% vrt and it should be coming in at around €105k?
Have they added on a paddy tax?
Not sure why I care as outside my budget regardless! 😂
For sure something not kosher with the irish price. If you compare the Macan EV
UK and irish price the difference when you make all the calculation is roughly 1500
euros.Regardless i am disapointed with the overall design,i much prefer the looks of
a nice specd Macan which will end up costing well over 100K.
Hopefully they keep the petrol option for the Irish market instead of just electric option like they did on the Macan.
They’ve taken a play from Mercedes book to hit it with a large paddy tax for the most basic model. If they follow suit, then all the options to bring it up to UK base spec will be triple the UK cost. EQE paint is €5000 vs £700 UK. Paddy gouging
its 5k to pick a different paint colour on an EQE are you sure?
prefer the cayenne personally but the price difference is odd!
No-cost metallic options: Obsidian Black, Sodalite Blue, High-Tech Silver, Selenite Grey, Graphite Grey. Premium MANUFAKTUR options: These include special-effect paints and custom finishes, with extra costs typically starting from around €695.
as you can see from the photo, the paint is around 6 times the UK price.
You can’t even get an EQE300 in the UK! That sub-entry paddy spec is for us alone. It’s probably 30% more here to bring the paddy spec up to the base UK spec.
Jesus. That's some premium over the UK.
thats scandalous, that UK car has an AMG styling pack too ! is it any wonder they have sold sweet FA EQE suvs.
Mercedes Ireland need to go bankrupt and get direct to costumer sales on UK prices + Vat/Vrt difference (say 10% more). I can’t understand how they can still get away with the price gouging? Irish spec is basically a Toyota with a Mercedes badge but Mercedes prices.
I recently went "Coast to Coast" so see what the real world range in winter months is with the Macan from Porsche Ireland. 22" wheels look great but how much did they hinder....
